If that means there will be ageing drum and bass legends spinning their tunes to fitness classes of yummy mummies bedecked in lycra on our seafront...I'm in!!

not sure the point of this in Brighton, with the North Laine and Lanes catering to the so many different tastes and interests.

I like Boxpark - good for meeting up with mates and gives good flexibility on food choices. Also provides a good venue for food outlets to test the water and see if their idea works without the huge overheads. Many often go on to set up permanent outlets after a stint in a boxpark style venue. Pop brixton similarly good

The Wembley Box Park experience for the FA Cup Semi v Man City was great all round - the club put in a lot of effort - and the facilities and location was spot on (other than the number of working men's toilets!).

Not sure what it would be like without the club input though.

This - it was a great very pleasant, if somewhat drunken, experience - from what I can remember.

There’s actually been a partnership between Box Park and Palace for a couple of seasons now. Plenty of Palace content shown and a discount of up to 20% for ST holders.

I'd be very happy at a similar partnership if a Box Park was built down here.

Not sure I share the love for Box Park. The Croydon black theme is a bit cheap looking. I would choose Market Hall at Victoria any day over Box Park East Croydon and Brighton isn't exactly lacking in indie food places.

With you all the way on this .
Been to Boxpark Shoreditch and Market Halls @ Victoria - no contest, Market Halls far superior.

Isn't this the company who are about to start building the "super" cafe on Shoreham beach ?

I saw from the Croydon website that they screened a Palace game...... could be popular if they did that for the Albion

there was outrage (outrage I tell you) in Croydon when a BHAFC ad appeared on one of the Boxpark digital marketing screens.

I have no idea what that means. The problem was that they closed off the upstairs for players/guests etc... and that resulted in very long queues for the only available men's toilet downstairs.

It's not a big deal... just a minor observation about what was a great pre-match experience.

Not a big deal!

Hundreds of blokes were crossed legged, in physical agony.

Indeed. See post #5 and, in true NSC style, the subsequent location speculation from those who didn't read the thread....much like the Argus who clearly did no research.

BoxPark was a losing bid for the Shelter Hall site at the bottom of West Street mentioned above too. That will be a similar concept but with a more local and bespoke offer (eg better beer choice).

3 of us actually went to Boxpark Croydon before the away game up there in December, and it was fine. Easier than trying to find a half-decent pub.
