It sounds like Joshua v Dubois 21st September at Wembley for the vacant IBF, I imagine they will put on a great undercard. I would like to see Zhang v Agit Kabayel, Joyce v Bakole and Fabio Wardley v Whyte.
Don’t you think it will be carefully worded by the IBF to include ‘interim‘ rather than vacant so Usyk and Fury can still legitimately fight for the undisputed titles in December?

The IBF get their sanctioning fees and are still part of one of the biggest fights in boxing history, with the caveat that the winner in December fights AJ or DDD in Saudi next May?

Yes it is possible, but I imagine Eddie, Frank and Turki will put pressure on them to do so as they will want the Wembley date to be a huge success, Joshua potentially becoming a three time world champion makes it a much easier sell.

Pundits going on about how sad Wilder decline is…
He essentially retired more than a year ago - his inactivity post Fury showed he didn’t want to fight anymore.
Then the Saudis offered him so much money that he would have been a fool to turn it down.
So eventhough he checked out of boxing a while back he went through the motions, for the money.
Can‘t blame him, but his comeback was about nothing more than that.
Saudi money could get anyone fighting again.
I noticed it didn’t translate to subsidised PPV prices though.

The free channel Sky Showcase has a night of boxing bouts, live from Smellhurst. The place looks a half empty tip. Unluckily for June, it’s freezing cold, the sparse crowd in winter costs. Unfortunate.
It’s an awful shit hole. Filthy dirty too.

Expecting it to be a decent main event to be fair, shame about the decrepit venue

I don’t make a habit of defending Palace but they’ve sold around 15,000 tickets apparently, our very own ‘home grown hero’ Chris Eubank Junior would struggle to sell that at the Amex, with the exception of him fighting Canelo perhaps. ( Highly unlikely I know, and no more than 5 rounds 🙈)

It was okay, I’ve seen worse. Very glad I didn’t pay for that (but then, I never would’ve paid for that to be fair…).

Judges had it closer than I did, where I only have Riakporhe two rounds. Certainly not a classic and this seems the extent of Billam-Smith’s level being nearly 34… I did laugh when the commentator suggested a unification fight. Ramirez would end him in three rounds.
