Seems a bit pointless to me, why do we need another right-sided player/striker ???

Martot and Robinson will be on the right, Forster and Murray up-front, with Dixon coming back soon he'll be on the bench.

It's central midfielders we need.

I have a feeling our Jakey may be the one to miss out. DW is not his biggest admirer as is evidenced by how much he has played Martot.

Albion are poised to re-sign Dean Bowditch on loan from Ipswich Town for a month, with the 21-year-old set to be included in the squad for tomorrow's match with Tranmere Rovers.

Bowditch, who can also operate as a wide player, played four times for the Seagulls during an original loan spell in 2006 - scoring once in a 3-2 win at Bradford - before a groin problem forced him to return to Portman Road.

Since recovering from the groin injury he has enjoyed a loan stint at Albion's League One rivals Northampton Town, where he scored twice in ten appearances.

Bowditch is set to complete the necessary paperwork this evening and will link up with the squad ahead of tomorrow night's match.

Albion manager Dean Wilkins said, "We are delighted to have Dean back with us.

"He made a great impression during his first spell with us last season - both on and off the pitch - and we were really disappointed when his injury forced him to return to Ipswich prematurely.

"We have been monitoring his progress over the past few months, and we're looking forward to working with him again."

Albion chairman Dick Knight said, "We know Dean can play up front as well as wide, so with new signing Jonny Dixon out for a month he gives us more attacking options. The two clubs have an excellent relationship so agreeing terms with Ipswich has been no problem."

good move , out wide is priority but can back up strikers probably better than Gatting

Now please have the courage to play him Wilkins !!

Why didn't Northampton want to keep him ?

Good signing. Did a reasonable job at Northampton I believe. If he stays fit then a useful addition to strengthen the squad.

Great news.

I remember he made his debut for us last year in the home fixture against Tranmere because I was there. We were losing 1-0 when he came on for the last 10 minutes, and he played on the right wing. He was a key part of an assault on the Tranmere goal for the final 10 minutes plus injury time where we had many great, creative chances and he himself almost put one in. Ironic he will be starting back up with us again against Tranmere.

Because Martot isn't good enough, Robinson is ridiculously erratic and isn't really a wideman or a striker, and Dixon is out for at least a month
