Tough half as expected against a Bournemouth side who are really good this season. Sensational attacking play in the first 6 or 7 minutes - and a bit backs to the wall after that. We've got goals in us though so optimistic we can get the second that would make it a different game.

I think we're still finding the balance between all out attack and trying not to concede stupid goals, so sometimes relinquish the initiative a little bit too much now. But it's so promising and maybe only to be expected with such young players in key positions.

We appear to have taken it easy after the goal, probably why Boremuff have had more of the play. Speed up the passing a bit we'll get the second

Good first half from us considering the weather.

Brighton controlling possession and managing the game far better than BOU.

Despite BOU creating a few chances and pressing high, they’ve looked nothing like controlling the game to me despite some of the comments above. Van Hecke playing that BOU attempt on goal offside was spot on defending - he read the play well.

We have good options on the bench - the way it’s going - perhaps bring off our yellow cards which unfortunately as far as Rutter is concerned includes our best player on the pitch today.

At least Semenyo is also on a yellow.

Must be smoking some blue and white herb if you think we're controlling and managing the game better.

Don’t know if it’s because of how they play, their tiny ground or the camera angle but does their pitch look really small compared to ours? Players for both sides just seem to have a lot less time on the ball than usual

According to Wikipedia both pitches are exactly the same size. Away grounds guide has them the same length but the Bournemouth pitch being 4 yards narrower than the Amex pitch.

I think it’s more that they started very slowly with their press and tackling, and after the goal got a bit of a jolt and upped their intensity.

Listening to the bbc reporter on final score he reckons Bournemouth have bossed the game 🤔
BBC reporters know shit.😂

It’s been actually a pretty balanced match overall in the first half and the stats bear that out …
