Of course I'd like all 3 points, but we haven't played well enough to bag 3 points lately, so i'd take a point . As others have said, we could just as easily be turned over here and get nothing despite it being Muff who have been dreadful of late.

It's more about not losing....then it's wet pants time !!

Nothing other than three points tonight, a defeat tonight firmly places us in a relegation fight and the pressure will automatically rise for the next game and then it is the old snowball effect as the pressure rises and I am not sure we have the experience or players to get ourselves out of that situation.

A win will give us some breathing space and I feel we can and would play better with less pressure on the squad.

Ah what do I know...

We need a convincing win to instil confidence for the remaining games. The habit of giving away points has become the norm and we need to break it. Having said that my 70+ years of watching the Albion reminds me that I should not expect anything than other to be disappointed.

They've got nine first team players out through injury and Steve Cook suspended.

If they wanted to, they could start 7 of the 11 who beat us 5-0 last year. Cook, Brooks, King & Mepham are the absentees. We could start 8 of our starters that night: Knockaert, Andone & Locadia have gone. They will be as desperate for something from this game as Villa were. Let's hope that we show more guts than they do.

Considering the amount of pure luck that Eddie Howe has enjoyed against us over the years, I'd absolutely be grateful for the point... Unless them losing would guarantee him getting the sack, then I'd go at them like a raging toddler out for revenge on his little sister after mum has said that it was her turn on the ipad. Lucky I'm not in charge really.

I wish I could be confident about tonight, but this is absolutely set up to be one of those typical games where we rock up and get turned over by the most hopeless out-of-form team in the division. In all my years of watching BHA, its happened time and time and time again. I could almost lay money on it - in fact I think I probably will.

Was thinking exactly the same; it's the Albion way! If we start slow and sit back and allow Bmuff to take the initiative it could be tricky. I just hope we have the confidence to take on Bmuff from the kick-off, like we did at the Amex, where the 2-0 scoreline flattered them.

With a stronger group of PL teams at the foot of the table this season I really hope we're well clear of the bottom three by the time our tough run of fixtures commences. Tonight presents a rare opportunity for us to be a bit more confident in an away fixture against an out-of-form team and, hopefully, to push for 3 points. However, with Bmuff having won only 2 of 11 at home so far this season - the same stats as Albion's away record - this has got a draw written all over it.

We have to go for 3 points to get some confidence back. A point for the Albion will be better than none but if Bmuff prevail that'll put quite a dent in Albion's confidence. It's a really huge game for both sides and, with their backs to the wall, Bmuff will undoubtedly be fired up by Smug Eddie so it could be a pretty entertaining match if both teams decide to go for it.

Bmuff don't have too many injury problems at the moment just a lot of off form players. Their team on paper looks stronger than ours. Harry Wilson, Callum Wilson and Fraser upfront is still top notch. Ake is better than anything we have. Lerma is one of Colombia's best players etc

Don't think this one is easy and their fans are weirdly confident.

Draw wouldn't be the end of the world.

Dwayne, I've seen you post this before a few times and I think you overrate them.

I've had a quick browse through their forum recently and the three you mention are regularly called out for looking like they're not trying.
Lerma is playing through a knee injury. Ake is a very good player granted, but he's playing with Francis who is a 34 year old journeyman.

We're also in bad form and there's no easy games, but if we lose to this lot we're in big trouble.

The narrative from Bournemouth, via Eddie, was the creation of a siege mentality - I can see them sitting in, sitting deep and doing whatever they can to avoid defeat. It will be tense and only become open in the last 10 mins..

Howe never does that.

They’ll come out fired up and their forwards/creative players will attempt to tear us apart.

They’ll be all over our intricate, eternal, passing around our box.

Should they score first, we’re in trouble.

We won't win. Nailed on draw. I'll take that but we are running out of easy teams.

A draw would be a good result, but we should be going there to win and I’m sure we will.

Yes I would take a point right now, just our luck that Bournemouth will start playing like Liverpool tonight and win their first game in a while.

A point would be far from a disaster but a win and we would be on 28 points and 6 points clear I think they are there for the taking but our team need to turn up tonight and not a repeat of Saturday's second half

Weird things nearly always seem to happen v Bournemouth. I'm reminded of that game a couple of years ago when we were leading there 1-0, and they brought on the utterly hapless and to that point totally useless Jordan Ibe, an expensive £15m flop from Liverpool. Not a SINGLE goal or assist in 25 PL appearances for them. “No worries here then” I thought, as he trotted on. Within 2 minutes he’d provided a nifty little backheel assist for 1-1, and literally about 5 minutes later he set up Defoe for the inevitable winner, then generally continued to run us ragged. We made him look like Messi. Oh, and they’d just lost 4 on the bounce before we turned up.

Deep down, we all know whats going to happen tonight.

Yes, I remember it well, and I agree with you.

we are running out of easy teams.

There are NO easy teams, either 'left' or already played.

Its the ****ing Premier league, and we're Brighton and ****ing Hove Albion, not Liverpool.

Every point has to be earned. Any win is to be celebrated.
