It seems as though every time seagulls have a scrappy game..let's say whenever they draw, be it 0-0 or 1-1, Bournemouth seem to throw good opportunities out of the window. Where's their South Coast Spirit?

I hope they come up with us though. As runners up of course.

Oh, no doubt of that. As any Seagull will probably tell you we would really like to run away at the top of League one, it's still nice to see such a close run season. What, it's only been a couple of weeks since we were just 1 point ahead of them

They've just lost for the first time since they played us in January.

Hardly 'keep slipping up'.

I think if they lose tomorrow they will slide. They have had so many opportunities to put us under pressure and aside from the 1-0 win at dean court the have failed to take advantage. If SCC defeat them tomorrow I think they will finally crack.

If on the other and they prevail...then maybe they will hold out for second and who could begrudge them that given their lack of resources and mid season turmoil.

Because I admire what they've achieved this season on a limited budget, whilst losing one of the most highly rated young managers in the league.

Also, they'd be nailed on for the drop next season, as I don't see them having the resources to survive the next level up.

Not slipping up in terms of losing, it's just I've noticed every time albion draw and the top of the heap is a close knit thing, Bournemouth never seem to capitalise :)

I want Bounemouth to go up with us because they deserve it and it would make Southampton missing out that much sweeter.

It would be quite hilarious if Us, Pompey and Bournemouth were in the Championship with Saints left floundering in League 1. Just a real shame that Pompey wouldn't be going down to join Saints.

Yeah quite agree. l'm amazed that Bournemouth are still 2nd to be honest, with their small squad l'm surprised they are lasting the pace. Much rather they, than the scummy boys from the Solent go up with us, if only because l think there is much more chance of them struggling next season, than there is of Southampton.

I agree, I remember when Bournemouth were our big rivals and so I wish nothing but defeat, humiliation and misery on them. But there is a merit in having them promoted. Like Leeds eventually Southampton and Sheff Wed will sort themselves out and get promoted. And also like Leeds once they HAVE sorted themselves out they'll probably do well in the Championship as well.

However if piddly little clubs like Bournemouth get promoted they'll be like us when we got promoted under Taylor and McGhee - small fry punching well above their weight who'll do well just to survive a few seasons. Bournemouth as runners-up and either Peterborough or Orient through the play-offs will be ideal for us.

They slipped up by not winning when we were otherwise engaged in the cup but have otherwise done remarkably to sustain a challenge.

There is no particular correlation with our results that I have noticed and whilst I am no fan of theirs it would be the lesser of two evils by a considerable distance if they pipped the scc to the second promotion spot. I'm still fancying Posh though.

Too many of you still thinking small on this thread. IF we go up I really don't think we'll be down with the dead men next season. Playoffs at least.

i really hope bournemouth stay down. i cant stand them, mainly because i know one of their fans and his constant renditions of 'the south cost is ours' do my head in. just for him, i hope they stay where they are, so he can realise that theyre nothing.
