My evening will commence in The Sportsman, before taking my usual seat in D Block, ready for an awesome display of slick, swift, incisive football culminating in a hatful of goals to a crescendo of deafening noise and a samba-like atmosphere in the stands.

HUZZAH !

Wouldn't it be lovely if a set of random blokes in matching tracksuits or suits leapt over the barriers in the North Stand at half-time and embarked upon a lap of honour with a big garish trophy purchased that very afternoon from one of the many and varied charidee emporia in London Road to the applause of the nine percent of the Withdean crowd who weren't in the bogs or queuing for a ratburger. Nobody would be any the wiser, I'll wager

Listen, the fact that where you're from things like chucking sticks about and SWEEPING are considered sports and a civilised game like cricket is virtually unplayed is NOTHING to be proud of.

Juan Albion will be there, in D Block. Together with Brother Albion, who will be celebrating his 45th birthday. Do feel free to tell him he is really old if you see him.

Blimey Juan - this is an occasion. Well I hope the lads turn it on for you.

I shall be there in E Block - courtesy of tickets purchased through the Exchange. I am unsure where to have a pre-match pint. Late decision.
