I expect this release of a different badge design as part of 'protecting their logos' is really the first stage of 'fan consultation' and changing the badge. Get it out there, get people used to it, count how many people say things like 'I quite like it actually' or 'probably better than the old one', and you're well on the way to changing the badge. Give it three years I reckon.

Reminds me Mick Fleetwood on the “Rumours” album cover. No, I don’t know if he has three balls.

quick search reveals Bourmouths old crests- they do appear to hav a history of bloody awful badges . looks like the f***ing awful "wella man" current one, isnt as recent as a lot thought-it goes back to 1972 in a very similar style

who knew this tough?

. It also contains the silhouette of Dickie Dowsett, the club’s former striker and commercial manager.

I'm another who thinks it's definitely an improvement on the current one which is horribly dated to about 1998. Very WordArt, the name across the top.

Why they had Chris Eubank heading a ball in the first place i'll never know.

What a load of shite from Brighton fans re Bournemouth.
Yes, we’ve got a bigger, better stadium than them, but so what. Compared to some clubs our stadium is toy town. 😉
Billy Big Bollocks syndrome is not attractive despite our manager’s wishes.😁

I remember when they changed to the current one and thinking that really was awful

It's shit but still an imporvement on the old one, which isn't hard given that it looked like the logo on a shampoo bottle.

The one they had from 1966 to 72 appears to have been ripped from a fried chicken shop.

1. It looks like a dribbling rantallion.
2. They've managed to replace the worst Prem badge with a new worst Prem badge.
3. The only positive thing is they've finally binned off a badge that they constantly had to update according to what striped kit they were wearing, i.e. red/black > red and white > red, back and white > red and white > red and black.
