So can I assume that the most common attitude towards Murray when he was here ("FFS Murray") would no longer apply?
"FFS Murray" is nothing to do with the attitude towards him when he was here.

Not sure a player coming here on say at least double the wages of everybody else in the team, would prove to be a success. We have achieved this season on the basis of team togetherness and I think Murray would endanger that.

Wasn't Wayne Bridge on £90k?

I actually thought it was...a lot of our fans regarded him as lazy, disinterested, and as his wife was struggling to settle in the south, a northern wanker. Not that dissimilar to the same treatment that was handed out to Barnes. I think if I were Murray the last place I would come back to would be brighton to be honest!

If he could help those players get promoted and themselves earn more money I wouldn't see it being an issue.

The phrase was coined when he scored against us at the Amex.

He does live here, so I imagine he'd like the commute, particularly as a loan would only be for a couple of months.

That was when he put in a transfer request whilst Wilkins was manager. He also had problems with a groin injury which needed sorting out two or three times. He seemed more settled under Slade, but then started scoring well under Poyet.
The FFS came when he'd already got to Palace. In Octber we were already 2-1, down with a couple of minutes left to play, and Murray scored a third goal. It was recorded on a phone from behind the north goal (somewhere near you) with the Albion fan coming out with the immortal words. 'FFS Murray'.

He lives in Brighton because his first wife left him, but then he met a Brighton girl and married her.

I just hope that we can sign him in time to play against Reading. If nothing else it would put pressure on Hemed Baldock BZ and Wilson to perform when required.

BG, how have you managed to knock out over 400 posts in the last 2 weeks? If you were a porn star you'd be John Holmes and King Ding Dong rolled into one :lolol:

I agree with these views; Murray divides opinion amongst the fans, if not other team members.

I have said it many times before - but I really think we need to move on. FFS - there are other options!!!!

Bang! And the dirt is gone.
Is it Kylie, everyone's favourite antipodean pop princess?! I'm right aren't I. It is Kylie.

Thank you. At no point did my sources tell me that we were pursuing Bolaños as a primary option. He was simply a player 'in play' in our open negotiations in the January window, and he was on the radar. And that is not quite the same as insisting he was a definite primary target and he was imminently going to sign. Why the FECK do people have to manipulate your words to twist out something you never said; why do people have to misread, misinterpret and misquote what you said. When all I am doing is sharing what informed sources are telling me,

Suffice to say, I have been in Melbourne for several weeks on holiday, I'm still here now as I write, and let's just say I have family in Melbourne, as does someone we all know and love. And we'll leave it at that.

Actually the FFS came from him being offside ALOT when he first joined us back in the Withers days.

It was immortalised in that video, in that game at the amex.

You are Darren Bloom and I claim the £5 prize, which I will spend on WHELKS on Brighton Pier.
