I am worried that one of these days, a club actually will go bust in L1/2.

I know repeatedly clubs see last minute saviours, but eventually the boy who cried wolf scenario must kick in and complacency will see a club go under due to the fact every other club has been saved since Maidstone United..

The luck can't continue forever.

If they go it will be bad news indeed for football in general; not to mention we'd lose 6pts and even the mathematical hope of playoffs is gone!

Krasner says he will be talking to one and a half men , does this imply that one of the potential buyers is an amputee ?:)

Not Luton! Thank God
In reality its very hard for a football team to go bust. It has one thing that most business that go into liquidation don't have, a garaunteed income i.e. fans That should mean that they will be a going concern, it just means they have to be more realistic about the level they play at

Redknapp has already said he will not see AFCB go under.

They could always merge with Weymouth if it all goes tits up:p
Arry Deadcrap wont invest any money as HMRC will want to know where he got the dosh in the first place. :(

If they were to go under, how would their place be taken up? Would one less team go down and then one extra team come up from the conference?

At least the interest from a possible buyer has virtually ensured that they will complete the season, thus nobody losing points. If they go bust iafter then I would assume that 1 less team will be relegated from Div 1.

What price the Rednaps putting up the money/consortium and Jamie taking over the running of it as he has no connection with any club and could still do some of his Sky TV work.

A Leeds colleague who admits that the only reason he is supporting the points egttign back is bnecause he loves his team, says that if Leeds don't get their points back it will doom Bournemouth. Whats the connection here?

I would guess (without knowing the facts) that he is expecting HMRC to challenge any CVA (supposedly due to the fact that they are no longer treated as a preferential debt or whatever the term is), and as a result the club will have to go to the wall.

However, from my understanding (which may be wrong) he is missing a couple of key points. Firstly, the reason that Leeds had to leave administration outside of a CVA was due to the fact that the HMRC challenge was to be heard after the first day of the season. As long as any challenge that comes from HMRC is heard before the start of the season (i.e. before the club need the golden share) then they won't be over a barrel in the same way that Leeds were. Second, they could of course take the Leeds way out, and just accept a 15-point penalty. As long as they can find a buyer.

i don't think leeds not getting our points back = a doomed bournemouth.

the thing that links the two clubs over these points is how the FL voted on the cvas and that is part of the defence/arguments at tomorrows arbitration.

hmrc is a completely separate issue. they will continue opposing any and all cva because they are no longer preferred creditors - the fl need to deal with this and decide if -25 is the punishment they want to give for a club going into admin. until hmrc are back as preferred creditors or the club involved will offer them the same p/£ (ie all of it which you cannot do) as the preferred creditors they are going to oppose all cva.

Sorry boys but fls and cvas mean nothing as my yes just skew with all the ins and outs fo the Leeds issue..... just wanted to know if not giving Leeds the points back will create a precedent which will make Bournemouth's survival less likely?

Redknapp has already said he will not see AFCB go under.
Where has he been so far then? And can he actually do anything, while manager of Portsmouth, or would that be a conflict of interest?
