Possibly more relevant is that this means one of Newcastle's best players is sidelined for the rest of the season - unfortunate for him, but potentially good news for us, in the battle for 8th place.

Botman and Van de Ven were both injured and not named in the current Dutch squad and JPVH still wasn’t called up. So one (or both) of them being injured longer term might mean he’s closer to being next in line there are still a fair few players in front of him who are in the senior squad this week. A couple of more players getting injured might get him a place in their Euro squad.

On that note I always said van ‘heck’. Then comms started saying ‘van hecker’ which crept into my pronunciation. Then in Buzz’s bootroom It’s Van Heck - so I now feel slightly slapped and tickled.
