Personally I cannot remember a worse game on the telvision...........it is truly truly shockin. My only consolation is that we play the Blades on Sat and they have played the extra half hour. Truly two dreadful sides. Does anyone know why Paddy Kenny now has a full head of hair-why has he grown it....there must be a story here

If that fixture doesn't scream "this game will be utter, utter SHIT" at you then I don't know what will. I would rather put my scrotum in a blender than sit through that dirge.
As it happens the blender was on the blink, so I watched Fever Pitch again. Quite good, not as good as the book though.

Very True when board at work we tried to name all the clubs in the football league, Middlesbrough where the only club in the top 3 flights that we couldnt name as we just couldnt think of them!maybe that just makes us stupid, but what have they done in the last 8 years to really remember them for?

My mate is a Blades fan and as he goes to some away Albion matches, he asked that I went to this.

Yep the game was dull. But a few observations.

Middlesboro is without doubt the worst town anywhere. I just couldn't believe my eyes. I thought the chemical works might be outside the town, but nope they are in the centre of town. It is a true dump

The Riverside, though is a damm fine stadium. It has tremendous accoustics and in away that helped the match for me. The sound swept around the ground. If Brighton can learn from this or better it re Falmer, then we are in for a treat.

James Beattie. Blades spent £4m on this donkey. He is overweight and if a player is on his way down the leagues its him. Useless.

Ticketing. Keenly priced. I paid £15 to get in. I know it was on BBC, but it puts our prices to shame. The tickets for Boros Sat match are top priced at £24.
