What are people worried about? Being considered smalltime, or imcreasing the revenue of the club? How many DVDs would we sell if we put Charlton and/or the Peterborough games on one, and whack a behind the scenes interview with Poyet, or just a collection of videos from the Player, and you've got a big selling DVD with Christmas approaching. I'd buy one, and I'd send one to Wiltshire.

Abusive? Really? Just arrived from Brightonfans have you?

Ruined the thread? Ooh, the drama! Post 2 in the thread no less has the very suggestion described as gay by an NSC mod. Mine was something like post 16 or 17 in this thread. 7 previous comments had described it as ...gay ...pathetic ...smalltime ...flipping ridiculous

.... ruined the thread, my arse.

Jesus, and I thought I was a miserable fucker.

That game should be put on a DVD and sent to every school kid in the country. You're not gonna get a better lesson on how to play football than that!

Half year highlights of all games is what is needed. I remember when the club back in the Goldstone used to produce videos of lots of games, bought the odd one, but never watched it.

The problem is the matches in full are never as good as when you are there at the time. Therefore all you want is the highlights.

I got the Man City one and have only watched it once and then skipped through most of it, they are so boring to watch back especially if you know what is going to happen!

Rubbish idea

I would buy one too. I don't get to many games (usually between 3 and 8 a season), so always buy the DVDs in the club shop to see how we are playing in more depth that the 5 minutes seagulls player highlights.

Apparently if the club caters to the wishes of fans that would like occasional games available on DVD it makes us "tin pot" - as quoted from another recent thread on the subject.

I've got the DVD/VHS from the Cup Final in '83, and the Doncaster/Hereford one in '97, have watched them once, and that was on fast forward.

There is a chance to get extended highlights on Seagulls World, and the club produced a couple of DVD's a season (free to Blue members and possibly STH too).

A 3-0 victory against a ten man third division team, with one of the goals being a penalty is hardly going to bring in oodles of cash for the club, especially when the opportunity to watch it on SW already exists.

NOTHING can come close to replicate being there.

Dont forget the Dick Knight tribute page.

Perhaps Harty could do a 'This is Your Life' show for Gus and the squad, showing each of their contributions to the match. Fans could come up to Calde and kiss his feet, in a Mary Magdelane stylee, and Tony Bloom could appear in the clouds playing the part of God?

Very seasonal too, with Christmas coming up...
