Former Brighton defender Gary Elphick is expected to complete a switch to Blue Square Premier club Eastbourne Borough this week from Blue Square South outfit Havant & Waterlooville.
The 23-year-old made two League appearances for the Seagulls before being released. He spent two months on loan with Aldershot Town and also St Albans City, with whom he signed permanently in August 2006.
In his time with the Saints he made eighty-four appearances and scored six goals.
Nominated the Saints` player of the season 2006/07, Elphick (pictured) opted to leave in December 2007 to join the Hawks where he quickly became a regular in the heart of the defence, playing all but two of the remaining league games of the season.
He was recently named player of the year at West Leigh Park last season and has played for the England semi-professional international side.
