Boris Johnson has said he won't quit, claiming it would cause chaos if he did, reports the Daily Mail's political editor Jason Groves. And The Sun's political editor Harry Cole is hearing the same sentiment from one cabinet minister - and a reshuffle could be in the offing...

Kevin Keegan had passion and enthusiasm - its what got him the England job.

Beaten, humiliated, out of his depth, 18 months later he resigned in a toilet.

Let's hope your prescience comes to pass. Soon.

We really need Spitting Image back.

We got it. Although I don't think it was as good as before.

This is what will happen. Johnson will agree to the original withdrawal deal that created a border in the Irish Sea, allowing trade between NI and the Republic.

The DUP and ERG will reject it, government loses a vote of confidence as No Deal looms.

Johnson calls a GE on the back of his deal and gets an increased majority as Brexit Party voters return & Labour still arguing with itself.

Johnson then gets new Parliament to ratify deal and we all live happily ever after, albeit a bit poorer.

Follow that man...

Bring the deal back a 4th time, put on a posh Etonian accent, try and claim you changed something when you've changed nothing and believe.

Either that or throw NI under a bus, call an election and hope English exceptionalism will carry you through

A post from almost 3 years ago. If I had a prize to offer, you'd receive it

Well maybe you could help out by outlining this magic solution which protects the integrity of the EU's single market, whilst avoiding a border in NI.

You know, this win/win solution that Johnson/Raab/JRM constantly go on about but haven't been able to give an outline description for in the last 3 years

But shirley no one could have predicted exactly what would happen 3 years ago

Jo Johnson has been appointed Minister of State at the Department for Business, Energy and Industrial Strategy, and the Department for Education. He will also attend Cabinet.

That went well :lolol:

The real reason Johnson is not resigning:

Needs another month to overtake May for length of tenure
Wants an increased pay-off
Has yet to agree resigning with Putin and his Russian doners.

All he ever does is say whatever he thinks people want to hear, toss out an amusing soundbite or two, lob in a few long words and a bit of latin, a bit of bluff and bluster, a quick ruffle of the hair, and PRESTO ! The toffs duley fall over themselves to install him as our nations leader because he's such a CHARACTER.

Unfortunately for us, whatever he comes out with invariably carries all the weight and substance of a half-baked soufflé. When he actually arrives in a room full of grown up european politicians and attempts his usual schtick with them, he'll be laughed out of the joint quicker than you can say "whiff whaff waffle". Then there'll be no deal. Then there'll be a vote of no confidence. Then there'll be a General Election, he'll be out before Christmas and we'll be left with...

...well. Who knows what. By this time next year the UK will probably resemble the set of Mad Max, and we'll all be crouched round camp fires in the woods eating random gunk from tins with no labels.

Well, the timing may have been slightly out but Easy 10 pretty much called it on day 1 of Johnson’s premiership.

Now, has anyone got a Vesta packet curry they fancy swapping for a tin of out out-of-date corned beef?

I thought it was a great speech. Most optimistic I’ve heard a PM since Blair. If he achieves half of what he said he will have done very very well and still would have been much better than all PMs since Thatcher.

Instead, we had the worst Prime Minister of all time.

His legacy is lies, cheating, dishonesty, poor judgement, division, hate, arrogance, corruption, entitlement and incompetence.

As the 1922 prepare the shotgun to metaphorically blow out his political brains, you do wonder how so many people were taken in by this lying baffoon!
