The EU versus Boris Johnson ....who did you think I was going to side with?
That doesn't make any sense. If he wants an election he could easily say "I think it's only fair that the British public should have a say in who is prime minister. Unlike Gordon Brown, who replaced Tony Blair in a cosy arrangement, hatched in an Islington restaurant, I believe the people are our masters. I therefore call on the opposition in supporting a motion for the early dissolution of parliament and a general election to be held in early September."
That would give him an early election AND the moral high ground over Labour.
Boris has put his tanks on the lawn. He clearly wants a fight. And he wants a fight with his own party, the opposition, his country and the EU. If he wants a fight he can have one. Yes, I have chosen the correct side.
Jezza has to go if there is any danger of them winning.
Or maybe they should film a bunch of 12 year olds singing his name to show he means business

I'm not so sure. Mays Parting shot towards Corbyn signals the Tories fear of him becoming an electable alternative to Boris. Surely if they didn't fear him they wouldn't suggest he resign. I am not a Corbyn fan but a lot of his rivals are running scared he may just gather enough support to put him in power.

Brexit has revealed that there are millions in this country who would rather be proved right and see us scurrying back to the failing EU than see The UK thriving as a sovereign nation.
Boris is talking this country up and that appals the doom-mongers.
Simple. Because Boris is an arrogant, self-centred, homophobic, misogynistic, racist, bullying scumbag who only cares about himself. I don’t like people like this and I feel he needs to be taught a lesson.
And no, I wouldn’t feel the same if Corbyn, or even Jeremy Hunt was in the hot seat. Just like I didn’t when May was in charge.
We live in pretty strange times, so nobody knows what the hell may happen next in the world of politics.
However, I think the fear of Corbyn , is not because of his political brilliance(ahem!), but based on a genuine concern over what a far left Government would do to the economy of this country. Add in his tendency to side with the country's enemies, his lack of intellect, the caucus of extremist advisors pulling his strings, lack of leadership, indecision,intolerance of more moderate views within the party etc.
These fears are genuinely felt by many traditional Labour voters as well as supporters of other parties. I should also add moderate Labour MP's to that list.
Until Corbyn and McDonnell are replaced with more centrist leaders, many will fear Labour, and by that I don't just mean the Tories and their supporters.
I am a Tory voter, but hope and pray that Labour comes to its senses and once again returns to being the decent party it once was.

I dunno. What appals me is not enough people are prepared to be called a doom-monger for questioning his baseless optimism that's being delivered without a shred of evidence or any foundation in reality or likelihood to influence outcomes. I'd argue its more patriotic to question that and the headlong charge to insignificance than go along with it. I like this country and its people far too much than to blindly accept what Boris and his chums are doing to it.
You’ve hit the nail on the head here. Yes, he is talking the country up. But it’s just hollow nonsense as it always is with him; his words are cheap.....that’s when they’re not offensive of course.

Think you are imagining things. Corbyn is very unelectable. Very.
Corbyn's popularity has been waning since his heady days of 2017 and early 2018. The Tories would be a lot more fearful of someone like Starmer leading Labour.
As a Tory voter myself now that Boris has replaced the feeble Mrs May I hope Corbyn remains at the helm.
He won't ever be PM. Vast majority of people don't want him
