Indeed. Surely everyone knows there are different rules for the elite?

Can easily happen. Especially if you've had different addresses.
Non story really.

Congratulations BL, you are officially NSC’s last standing Tory and BJ supporter/apologist. (Das Reich doesn’t count)
I'd have thought someone of good moral fibre with efficiency and competence would probably be quite capable of avoiding this, but maybe I'm wrong and one of the other dozens of PMs we've had in the last 100 years have actually been chased through the courts for money. Can easily happen. Especially if you've had different addresses.
Non story really.
its not like he has a partner and an army of secretaries, staff and other lackeys to check that he is paying his bills. Ever tried the "I was busy doing other things" as a defence against a claim against you in the County court? You know how far that would get you? Wanna guess?
And I'm not giving Boris personal credit for the vaccine rollout. That has been a great success because the NHS took it over and did it. If they hadn't he would have stuck Dildo Harding in charge and we would still be looking for the "I've been a brave boy" stickers.
You have such a dismissive view of people paying their bills, I presume you have never been in business yourself and have no understanding of the importance of cashflow, particular to the small independents.
You clearly got the memo from Central Office.
However the reality is what the general public think is irrelevant, it's whether our PM has broken the law not the rules.
And that's why he is currently under investigation.
I am not trying to belittle the fact that he hasn't paid a £500 bill, more the fact that I was expecting it to be blown up to something bigger than it needs to be. Does anyone really think Borris is trying to get out of paying what for him is a relatively small amount . its in all likelihood just a **** up by someone in his staff who should have paid it rather than some nefarious attempt to not pay,
I have actually set up and run a small one man business, and yes I know all about cash flow and its importance. I also know how easy it is in any organisation large or small for something to slip through the net.
Just because on this occasion I happen to think this is a storm in a teacup for the general population, and will be spun by his opponents doesn't mean I am a true blue flag waving tory. Borris has inflicted Brexit on this country and for that he should not be forgiven. I realise he isn't personally responsible for the set up of the vaccine program (The Military and NHS is- ) but he is the one who is head of it. If you blame the man for everything that went wrong, then under the same reasoning he is also responsible ultimately for what went right
Only if he's made bankrupt - he'd have to resign in that case
It's not that he's had one, but he's not paid it for 6 months. He's earning £150k per year and hasn't settled up? Something fishy there.
CPFC one here - Happy to stiff the St Johns Ambulance for a few quid, due to administrative oversight.
It STILL hasn't been paid, the law is for other people isn't it?
He hasn't dodged a debt, he's been careless.
You'll find a few.
Being a 'Tory' would be a bewildering title for me, given that I haven't voted Tory for at least 25 years.
I'm just getting tired of irrational politicking and having any political view in general. It's better just to try and assess and rationalise any situation as it arises. I still doubt I would vote Tory again though. Maybe in a local council election if I thought the candidate was a really good ward person. I'm tired of it all now. I got tired of me, now I'm tired of everyone else.
When I saw he had a CCJ my first thought was that he had been probably been careless in paying something and missed or didn't deal with the letters. Maybe someone else does it for him. The amount is low so it's highly unlikely he can't pay.
It's a non story to me.
He’s still under investigation for the £15000 Caribbean holiday.
at what point have i said he shouldnt pay it? or think he shouldn't pay it. Of course he should , WTF has this to do with and why are you comparing me to CPFC, I just said that the general population wasnt interested and that it would be spun out of all proportion and in all liklihood it IS an admin error.
The CPFC admin was a deliberate method to avoid paying , this isnt the same situation at all
However it seems that I am wrong and people are interested and that this is a huge story about how Borris is deliberately with malice aforethought trying top bankrupt a small business over £500 and worthy of 24 hour news updates and a royal commission and inquiry and he should be tried and executed and a thousand pages on NSC
its not like he has had anything else on his mind is it, say like a global pandemic, financial crisis, nationwide vaccine rollout or anything else remotely important
You can just see sections of the left salavating at another "scandal" that the general population really doesn't give a toss about (who actually cares about the wallpaper-certainly not the voters in Hartlepool ) as they desperately try to ignore and deflect from the more important issue that they are still unelectable and unable to provide even the semblance of an opposition party even after Brexit, Covid , the aforementioned Wallpaper incident and now an unpaid bill for what will probably turn out to be an forgotten batch of hair straighteners or something
It was served relatively recently to Number 10 Downing Street and he hasn't had that many addresses.
As anyone knows, you get a number of warnings before the courts get involved and let's be fair - whoever he owes the money to would have a reasonable idea of where to send the letters to.
I'd have thought someone of good moral fibre with efficiency and competence would probably be quite capable of avoiding this, but maybe I'm wrong and one of the other dozens of PMs we've had in the last 100 years have actually been chased through the courts for money.
Maybe it is a non story, but ultimately is says a lot about the sort of person he is.
Sounds like he should join some kind of European Super League...First Lord of the treasury gets one and they're on the T.V. saying it's ridiculous that he's a supposed to get by on £150K when he's used to earning many times that and he's having to pay for a divorce.
Pffft. The Pied Piper has done far worse than get a CCJ.
If we are talking about this, what is it he really doesn't want us to focus on ?
