I'm just getting tired of irrational politicking and having any political view in general. It's better just to try and assess and rationalise any situation as it arises. I still doubt I would vote Tory again though. Maybe in a local council election if I thought the candidate was a really good ward person. I'm tired of it all now. I got tired of me, now I'm tired of everyone else.

When I saw he had a CCJ my first thought was that he had been probably been careless in paying something and missed or didn't deal with the letters. Maybe someone else does it for him. The amount is low so it's highly unlikely he can't pay.

It's a non story to me.

I'd have thought someone of good moral fibre with efficiency and competence would probably be quite capable of avoiding this, but maybe I'm wrong and one of the other dozens of PMs we've had in the last 100 years have actually been chased through the courts for money.

its not like he has a partner and an army of secretaries, staff and other lackeys to check that he is paying his bills. Ever tried the "I was busy doing other things" as a defence against a claim against you in the County court? You know how far that would get you? Wanna guess?

You have such a dismissive view of people paying their bills, I presume you have never been in business yourself and have no understanding of the importance of cashflow, particular to the small independents.

However the reality is what the general public think is irrelevant, it's whether our PM has broken the law not the rules.

And that's why he is currently under investigation.

Borris has inflicted Brexit on this country and for that he should not be forgiven. I realise he isn't personally responsible for the set up of the vaccine program (The Military and NHS is- ) but he is the one who is head of it. If you blame the man for everything that went wrong, then under the same reasoning he is also responsible ultimately for what went right

The biggest killer of small businesses isn't getting in a bit of a mess with the paperwork and somehow failing to pay your bills, it is cashflow. Funny how these forgetful people, never seem so forgetful when it comes to ordering things they want isn't it?

Whoever took this to court has not been trying to gain publicity over it, or they could have sold it to the Mirror months ago. You have to conclude it was a matter of principle. Fairness and decency, which have yet again been tossed aside on party loyalty lines.

As anyone knows, you get a number of warnings before the courts get involved and let's be fair - whoever he owes the money to would have a reasonable idea of where to send the letters to.

Not necessarily. If the claimant has not followed the pre action protocol then a defendant may only get one letter from the court. Fail to acknowledge that one letter and boom judgment entered without further notice.

This is the point.

He is notorious for asking interns and work experience kids at the Telegraph and Spectator to get him a cup of coffee and then 'forgetting' to reimburse them, or buying someone lunch and then 'realising' he has left his wallet back at his desk, so could they pay instead?. Of course he will repay them ...

He considers himself above such common courtesies, and this unpaid fine suggests that in his own mind he is too important to bother about the basic rules of society that the rest of us are expected to live by.

Whatever it is, it’s ‘priced in’ with his supporters. If voters can’t be swayed by the 20k+ excess deaths due to his two late lockdowns, nothing will convince them that he is not PM material.
