Good to see the RMT has taken decisive action to suspend its assistant general secretary ( Stephen Hedley) after his comments that he’d throw a party if Boris died of Covid.

Just a quick update.

I'm starting to feel better now. Paramedics wouldn't take me to hospital as my breathing was stable. They told me hospital is the last place you want to be unless you need help with breathing. Today i've been able to move about the house. It's tiring but i'm gaining strength back. Strange thing is i'm starting coughing quite a bit. Maybe all that time being bedridden caused a build up of crap just sitting on my chest ? Yesterday was the first time i ate two small meals since i felt unwell.
The two paramedics were lovely and were here for sometime. They couldn't leave my area until they were authorised as they weren't taking me to hospital. They sat in the carpark simply waiting for the green light. Seems odd.
Anyway thanks all

So did Boris leave ICU on Good Friday, discharged from hospital on Easter Sunday?

Glad our PM is on the mend.

He is a truly horrible little IRA supporting ****, He rocked up at one of our picket lines a few years back, amongst others it was manned by Myself ex Navy, two ex Paras, one former Royal Marine and a former Royal Anglian, it was made quite clear that if He didn’t **** off sharpish He was going to get banged out.
If He is allowed back into the RMT after this latest outburst I will be cancelling My membership.

I think the RMT took the right decision here. It was highly irresponsible for Stephen Hadley to suggest this; everyone knows you can’t have parties at the moment.

I have just come back from my daily walk and as I passed my local shop I looked at the front pages of the Sunday newspapers.
What a truly pathetic front page on The Mail On Sunday, all about Boris Johnson 'all the nurses could do was prey' etc etc.
Well those nurses are dying and getting infected because the party you so strongly and pathetically support are not capable of getting PPE to them, or testing them, and now they are accused of wasting PPE or that some may have contracted the virus away from the hospital, they are only reacting if the media or other MP's tell them where they are failing.
And then you have Patel or Matt 'Deputy Dawg' Hancock spouting crap.
Why do people buy this excuse for a newspaper?
Why do people defend their chosen party when there is clear evidence that they are totally hopeless liers, I think you know if one particular person I am talking about.
So the recovery of Johnson is more important than the deaths of people he has single handedly failed, and he has the cahoonas to thank them after his party cheered when there was no pay rise and stripped the NHS budget to the bone.
What a cuffing rag that newspaper is.
Happy Easter.

Genuine question (without wanting to derail this thread): Do you not think there might have been some chance of you yourself having joined the IRA had you grown up Catholic in Northern Ireland in the 70s, or at least sympathised with their cause on some level?

Logs off and runs for the hills

The PR machine will be in overdrive, right now , how to sell this new dawn and the coming of the messiah , tory rags will lap it up tomorrow ,no doubt the briefest hint of a relaxation without any real plan , as the boffins cringe in the shadows.

The Easter rising ...you just couldnt write this stuff.

Sadly the numbers will be the judge , and in an ironic twist the dead will have the iast word on the political futures of our dear leaders globally.

People will lap up the bullshit like normal, too little too late for the already dead.

Boris's heart felt thanks to the NHS and staff that he mentioned in saving his life, will surely influence the Tory government to finally invest in it properly, even though it was a Labour party idea that started it.

Can't win can he. Gets sick, must be faking it. Gets better, what a diversion. How is a thread about the PM getting sick become so divisive?

Surely we can all agree despite politics it sucked that he got ill, the NHS did a great job and now it's good that he's on the mend. Right?

RIGHT?

Lets hope so, maybe he has learned a little humility and humanity since he suggested we " Take the virus on the Chin " . Still, actions speak louder than words, we will see.

Some ******* chance , theyll bang on about it , even shout it from the roof of No10 , give it plenty of lip service, but when the dust settles and the boys from the treasury have had a word, it will be conveniently kicked into the long grass for further debate .
Big corps will be first in queue for instant help, in what will become tory mantra .. Lets get the economy moving .
