I went to their stadium during the Euros (8 yrs ago?).
It was a beautifully designed 'proper' football ground, it's a massive shame it won't be hosting top class football.

Good post by Stan Collymore on twitter (usually not a fan of his) , good summary paragraph.

'The truth is, without a more robust English pyramid and big £ going into the top 2 leagues in particular, Bordeaux's plight could easily been one of our top 10 historical clubs. Easily. We just have more money than sense to get out of it'.

Ligue 1, a mediocre league, no longer has the likes of Neymar, Messi or Mbappe, which is why the TV rights have gone down the toilet. Canal+ haven't bothered for years.

This is the reality of the reliance on TV revenues. Bordeaux will not be the only ones to suffer.

Amazon and Canal+ have been sharing the coverage of Ligue 1 for a while in France.

DAZN and Bein Sports have recently purchased the rights for the upcoming season until 2029.

I think I read earlier that the clubs will all have to sport Visit Qatar badges on their kit for that deal.

Did not TNT Sports show Ligue 1 in UK last season? Don't know if they are showing this season
