Mac with 4 bookings is only one close to suspension. Sometime in December used to be cut off point for suspension for 5 bookings. What is situation now with World Cup starting in November.

It’s not a specific date, it’s 19 matches for cumulative 5 booking suspension

That's a strange one as we have had two games postponed, but I suppose fewer games, means fewer chances of getting a card.

Yep - wouldn’t be fair to do it by date so makes sense. The ten-booking number for a two game ban is 32.

Whilst we've won both games and the team have played well, Mac Allister hasn't been as effective in either game. He has looked like a player acutely aware that he is one yellow card away from a weekend off.
If he had been booked against Wolves, would his ban have been covered by the cup game on Weds, or is it specific to PL games?

Maybe he's saving his suspension. If he gets booked in the Villa game he gets more time off at Christmas

Yellow card suspensions are specific to the competition they are earned in, so 5 yellow cards in the Premier League means a 1 game ban in the Premier League. Cup competitions normally have a 2 yellow card limit and then the played misses the next game in that cup with cards being wiped out after the quarter finals.

Red card suspensions would be across all first team games.
