The smart thing for any bookie to do is to pay out as quickly as possible, so that you can start giving it back...

Got paid. My bet was with Bet365 not Bill Hill - good job I didn't hassle them. I'm sure that Mrs Gwylan has thought of ways to spend it already

I'd forgot about my bet in all the excitement so it was a nice surprise to see the money in my Bet365 account this morning when I was backing a few horses. Corals still hadn't paid out on my 90 or more points on Friday so I emailed them and they paid out pretty quickly.
Still waiting on the 100 or more points...

Thanks, Wozza, for starting this thread. It prompted me to remember that I'd invested in the Albion's success via my Skybet account. No payout yet. But I did receive a reply to my e-mail to them:-

Hi
Thanks for your email.
This bet will be settled at the end of the season,
I know Brighton have already won the league but they just settle all bets like this at the end of the season.
Kind Regards,

Interesting to see a member of a Customer Care Team refer to the organisation he is supposed to represent as "they", rather than "we".

"They" probably means the traders. Often when I've had a query with a bookmaker the customer care person says they'll have to pass it on to them and then get back to me.

I hate sky bet so much. I used to use them but bet365 are miles better and cover tonnes more

"In answer to your query, we can confirm that bets on League One Winner 2010/2011 will be settled in May when the season has ended." - thanks bwin:tosser:

I wouldn't object, but they have paid out on Crawley on the other half of my win double. Do you think they will let me lump more money on us winning the league, as the season isn't over yet ???

^This^ It's the only reason they ever do!

SportingOdds have not yet paid out - there's logic to it seeing as you never know what scandal might break & trigger a points deduction, but given the above, you'd think they would. I definitely can't see any bookie paying out on QPR until the season is completely finished...
