Finally got round to ordering my copy. Double whammy for charity really as I don't have space to store many books now so, after me and my son have a read, it will probably have to head for Chestnut Tree House Charity shop. Win/win. And I'm still here too! On train back from Bart's in London where I am on a trial and have to attend two days every two weeks. The second is quite nasty chemo but it's keeping me going. Not so good is that I will be doing this for the rest of my life, but if that means getting to an away game (or two) in Europe then happy days!

It has been ages since I sat down and read a book. even with this sitting by the side of my bed nagging me, it still took months to pick it up, but I finally got there.

Nice large clear text and an easy to read style, meant I breezed through this in a couple of days and I am glad I did - thanks @Rugrat

As a general message I'm still here but was told today that I'm off (officially suspended but it will be off) the trial I was on due to sh*t side effects ... neuropathy which has left almost unable to walk. But I stay under the supervision of Barts and hopefully they can come up with something else that will keep me ticking over. Told him (my Oncolgist) today I need to be kept going to see us through the upcoming European campaign!!!

It's a brilliant book, TC. I couldn't put it down once I reached page 100.
Very entertaining, full of happy and sad stories, fearless, a true rollercoaster of a life lived to the full.
We don't know each other, but I feel I know you fairly well from your book.

It's a brilliant book, I really enjoyed it. Even managed to read more than 3 pages at a time without falling asleep, which is highly unusual for me.

I read on holidays (too distracted at home) and did it in about three days whilst we’re in Austria. A mix of everything, including the 4 Tony Cooper’s in a casino!

Genuinely a bit sad when it was over, Tony’s such an interesting person.

Thanks for asking ..... have had mixed fortunes. Went on a trial drug at Bart's and whilst it did a great job at containing the growth of tumours it unfortunately caused 'collateral damage' and gave me neuropathy and so I had to come off it.

I'm back at Eastbourne General and just started the old technology Chemo last week, not expecting too much from that but hopefully a bit of extra time.

Hoping to to see us play in Dublin in May and the thought of that has given me some added incentive
