I have never booed the Albion and I would never shout out insults at individual players but it is incredibly frustrating when you pay good money to be entertained and the team doesn't keep its side of the bargain.
This season is the first one that my 10 year old son has shown a real interest in coming to watch the Albion. October/ November time he was really enjoying it with the cup wins and even a couple of league wins. The team was playing with real flair and I was really hopeful for the future. But since Christmas it has been dire. One win at home in ten. Five league wins at home all season. Three goals for the Albion at Withdean in 2007. And the standard of football has been dreadful, we just don't look like scoring or creating chances.
The result is that my lad has had to be nearly forced to come to the last couple of games and I don't think we will bother with the final two. So whilst I don't believe in booing, I simply won't pay to see rubbish like that dished up again Doncaster. So from a financial point of view I guess it's better if fans turn up and boo rather than stay away. Although I suspect many of those booing were STH who have already paid whether they turn up or not.
Here's to a vast improvement in 2007/08.
