Booing H blockers

I didn't realise any of this was going on in H, I was wishing I was nearer there after my experience tonight

Just got back, watch a bunch of fickle twats some of our fans are. I sat in E block where as usually I'm the other side nearer to the singers. The people around me moaned about every single thing, were calling for Wilkins out, claiming Murray was a waste of 300k, and yet these were many season ticket holders I believe. They made stupid sarcastic comments which nearly all the time they laughed at. Did anyone see some prick stand up cheering when one of their players took a shot, what the f*** was all that about? Some cry for attention I suppose. They did my head in and basically ruined the game for me:rant:

How easy would it be to turn abuse into encouragement, that is far more likely to spur someone on to greater things, there really are some mind-f**ked numb nuts following our team.

I have never, and will never, shout abuse at an individual player or boo the team. It is probably a good thing I don't go to Withdean that often, I would probably end up in constant argument with those who abuse the team.

I agree it's unbelievable some of the stick the players get during games, or just a general dislike towards some players like Mayo,

There were people near me (Block G) today having a dig at Elphick, HE'S IN HIS FIRST SEASON AS A FIRST TEAMER, he's not going to get everything right, he will make errors like the rest of them, but he is learning,

I normally sit near a family who moan and complain from the first kick to the final whistle, no matter what the score is,

There seems to be a complete lack of patience, we conceeded in the first couple of minutes, but still had the best part of 90 to turn it round.

It would have been just as easy instad of booing, for them to have had a chorus of Come on Brighton, Come on instead, which would be encourage the team, and help with an atmosphere again at Withers.

Maybe the biggest bunch of twats to ever have watched the Albion. Booing Murray because he missed a good chance and then ripping into the team at half time.

Then the best supporters going when we got the equaliser.

Total utter pricks who are an embarrasment to the club. Should stick to baiting stewards.

stick to listening to the game on the radio i suggest , things will improve at falmer believe me and these types can all sit together out of the way from people that really want to get behind the club

Why don't you just sit somewhere else?

What he said. I tend to sit in E Block when I can, the view is fine, and you can't hear the nonsense they come up with.

The funny thing is, I heard them booing. And I shouted them to shut up, and support the team, otherwise why bother turning up.

The as I got to the bottom of the stairs, the stewards came up to me and threatened to chuck me out for shouting at our fans

The 2nd half they HATED the fact the fans were singing Albion songs and supporting the team, and then we scored TWO and WON the game - which shut them up

Believe in the team!!!!!!!!

ALSO DO NOT SHOUT WILKINS OUT WHILST STEVE MCCLAREN OR BRYAN ROBSON ARE STILL UNEMPLOYED

I agree actually.

Yes, i'm a Wilkins outer, but i'm not a vocal one at games.

That group of H blockers are absolute GOONS. No doubt about it. Singing about Bowditch being shit, telling him to f*** off back to Ipswich - what's that about? Singing for Robinson all second half...why?

Fickle buggers - screaming abuse until we're winning, then making noise as if we'd won the cup final. Twats.

Singing for Robinson...they should be locked up!! Complete goons imo the boys shite!

I would like to know how booing a team is going to motivate them

You obviously didn't see the way Millwall responded a couple of seasons ago...their first half performance was one of the worst I've ever seen by any team anywhere. They were booed and abused by ALL of their fans as they walked off. They came out in the second half and ripped us apart.

Last night's first half performance was pathetic and deserving of the chorus of boos. Inept not inert sums up most of the performances. We are still lacking that on field leader who isn't afraid to yell at under-performers.

But they are the ones that sing "Loyal Supporters" when people leave before the end of the game!!

Support the team FFS or dont turn up at all!!

If you were old enough to remember 97/98 season you would stop moaning!!

I attend home games around once a month and usually sit in Block H. Yes, some of the stick individuals were given last night was unreasonable, however I have no problem with booing the team after that inept first half performance. As others have said, at least those in Block H bothered to turn up and without them Withdean would be even duller than it is now.

mate they are just sad'os who find that sort of behaviour boost's their little ego's when confronted they just crawl back into their shells they have no other interest's in their life's

Have to say that the atmosphere at Withdean is one of the reasons that I now restrict myself to a handful of away games each season, I know that you pay your money and make your choice, there is no way I am going to make a 300 mile round trip to be surrounded by people who just whinge, moan and shout abuse at our players for most of the game.

Yep me too, totally fed up with it. I've given up on home matches.

When we were at Cheltenham a couple of weeks ago the bloke sitting next to me started moaning within about two minutes, not just the occasional comment but a constant whinning about every Brighton player on the pitch. Why bother going all that distance just to sit there and whinge like an idiot ? I was so close to having a go at him but ended up just moving away.
Playing for us is hardly the 'glamour job' of football without having this shit thrown at you from 'fans'. I know were not playing that well at the moment but surely part of the job description of being a fan is that you encourage and support the players on the pitch. Its pathetic and its costing us.

out of interest i wonder if these people can hold down a steady relationship with the opposite sex or infact have a girlfriend/wife maybe thats where the frustration comes from

It does seem to be that as our crowds dwindle, these miserable twats are becoming a larger proportion of the crowd. True they pay toward the running of the club as they turn up whatever, but the negative atmosphere they create is putting off scores of regular fans so the net effect is a downward spiral. And it certainly doesn't inspire the team to new heights on the pitch.
