Booing Best was shocking

I've been going 41 years and booed him. He is a waste of air.

Think you'll find, just like other fans, most of ours appreciate effort and skill, Best and most of the team lack these. Nothing wrong in venting your anger at the little darlings. I'm sure they get over come their payday.

I've been going 40 years as well and tonight made a little sad to be a Brighton fan.

That said, it was a stupid decision to play him.

Didn't boo and it was probably the best he's played for us but that really isn't saying much. His body language throughout was awful, constantly moaning with his arms outstretched. It was like watching some kid playing with his mates who thinks he's loads better than them. Bruno, Calde and Stockdale all looked pissed off with him. O'Grady has too start Saturday.

The booing of Best wasn't just about the player it was the lack of goals, fight, spirit, youth development, negative manager etc - he's just the poster boy for the sh1t we are getting served up. Why play 5 loan players? If we are going to be this sh1t can't they at least be our players?

Doubt he'll play for us again after tonight. I wouldn't if I was him. He wasn't any worse than several others out there tonight - and, yes, including Calderon. There, I said it.

Booed Best off, and then boos at the final whistle. The fickleness of 'fans' does my head in. Also, to the the bunch of utter fvckwits in WSL (W1H) who kept abusing D'Urso (along with Best and CH), he got most things right tonight for me. This hit rock bottom when CMS and KLL were on and the knobs were screaming 'that should be your starting line up Hughton you w@nker'.

Clueless tw@ts.

I know he's lazy but that was a disgrace then cheering CMS , coz he's scored plenty for his 3m fee.

I agree that Brighton players should never be booed by Brighton fans, but can you really call Best a Brighton player? He puts on a £50 blue and white t-shirt and goes for a casual jog... and then drives off in his supercar to knock it out with his supermodel girlfriend... He dosen't care for the club, as for the matter, none of the loanees do. So I struggle to feel sympathetic for him. Macca has no end product, either but he shows a bit of determination, which is just enough to not get booed off himself.

Pathetic. Negative. Small dicked bullying.

The bloke did no worse than anyone else. You might as well have booed Calderon or Teixeira.

No one mentioned the dive where he was bent over and throwing himself to the ground before the Huddersfield player touched him? Though, to be honest, I doubt people were booing because of that.

Some people on here are so precious. He was shite, the team was shite, they earn shed loads of dosh to play a game most of us would love to be able to play. They get booed for being shite. The little darlings will get over it, if a few don't they're in the wrong business.

I hope, but doubt, they are truly hurting over their inept display. They all want the adulation but sometimes they need to hear the other side.

During the game the screens showed an advert of living the dream of being able to play on the pitch. Perhaps a few of our players need to look at it.

Some say they are embarrassed to be fan when there's booing, I'm more embarrassed for other reasons, like those on the pitch for one!!

The guy is poor no doubt but I don't think he isn't trying - just because he doesn't run about like a mad man doesn't mean he's not trying, this always happens... One player gets scapegoated for everything maybe people should remember that we create absolutely NOTHING for our strikers - literally nothing, our build up play is so slow and we only ever have one isolated player in the middle which means he's outnumbered quickly by defenders every time he gets the ball.

Don't get me wrong I'm not defending his attitude because it's not great but it feel the reaction tonight was not necessary, we as a team are shocking and several players have played with a bad 'nothing to play for' attitude lately, not just Best.

He has no interest in the club, spends 4 evening a week down the casino on the marina, even nights when he should be at home before the game. Four championship clubs 32 games and no goals, laughing at us.[/QUOTE

And someone thought he'd be the answer. to our lack of goals !!?? Jesus wept, I fear for next season if that is Hughtons idea of getting us scoring

Maybe Hughton should try a different formation, as this one certainly isn't working

Send the useless freeloader back to where he came from NOW before we waste any more money this season - he won't be missed.
Why Hughton starts with him beggars belief given his performances and the final straw came when he was eventually subbed - only to be replaced by cm-s with CO'G still on the bench.
At that point I just lost the will to live.
Yes I booed when Best went off and I'm afraid I kept booing when cm-s replaced him.
Fan of over 40 years by the way.
Thoroughly p*ssed off tonight.
