Coyle is ultimately a likeable and media-friendly character. Amazing where that gets you these days.

Gary Megson kept them up and got them playing a bit of football, but some fans took against him because he didn't attend supporters' meetings. I wonder if they'd swap that for where they are now?

Having just listened to the Danny Baker podcast with Mick McCarthy from a few weeks ago it sounds like he's in no rush to apply for any jobs outside the Premier League. .
