Championship side Bolton have released 13 players but offered new contracts to four players.

Jermaine Beckford, Matt Mills, Craig Davies, Andrew Lonergan and Keith Andrews will all leave the club.

Youngsters Chris Lester, Georg Iliev, Luke Woodland, Glenn Matthews, Ryan Sellers, James Ball, Carl Kennedy and Kieran Nolan are also let go.

Darren Pratley, Adam Bogdan and veteran strikers Eidur Gudjohnsen and Emile Heskey are in talks over new deals.

The club have also announced defender Quade Taylor has agreed a new deal but have not disclosed the length.

Neil Lennon's team finished 18th in the Championship this season, 10 points above the relegation places.

I would be interested in Mills for the right wages.
Only 29 and would be an ideal replacement for Dunk if he goes.

Perch, Mills, Bassong... yes please to all of them... would make a very good back 3 if we went that route...

It's way too early for us to be signing anyone yet. Wait till the end of July and see who's left, that's where our strikeforce will be coming from.

I would take Beckford obviously, possibly Mills to replace Hughes and and look at Lonnergan as No 2 if Walton is going out on loan. These would all be subject to their wage demands.

Oh Joy. Add Preston to the list of clubs making signings.

Beckford has done absolutely nothing of note in the championship and scored on average of 5 goals per season goals across the seasons where he has played more that 8 matches. If people are getting upset about us not signing a journeyman League 1 striker who hit a bit of form last year in a poor league then they really need to get out more.
