Cannot understand good scores for Stockdale. He does not command his area and earlier post of "could not do anything about the goal " should be "did not do anything about the goal"
Having said that a good all round performance by the team and as one who is not a fan of Bruno I totally agree with sponsors he was mom for his first half performance, also Greer and Calderon looked very good.
Also impressed by new boys. Well don all round. Score 8 out of 10 for the team and management

Bruno 8 -- quality, although decided to be dire once he was named MotM
CMS 7.5 -- great performance, got a proper centre forward goal, could have had four, didn't stop running
Texiera 7 -- another goal, some great touches, will cause defences real problems this season but, like Holla, think we'll see better from him

An exciting game, with lots of chances -- worringly, a poor Bolton side had too many decent ones

Stockdale 7 - Had little to do, distribution good
Calderon 7.5 - worked hard, got an assist, defensively solid, crossing (first half) was wayward at times though
Greer 7.5 - continuing to be outstanding this season, only 3 conceded in 5 games
Dunk 8.5 - was MOTM for me
Bennett 7 - solid performance, always offered width, though his crossing was poor
Holla 6 - was much better verses Leeds
JFC 6 - passing was often too soft, better teams will capitalise on that
Crofts 6.5 - worked very hard, but his final ball let him down
Bruno 7.5 - played really well whilst out of position, final 10 mins was scratchy though!
Texiera 8 - showed his class on occasions, and scored a goal (though the GK should of saved it!)
CMS 8 - could of easily had 2-3 goals today. Looks like his confidence (and first 'touch') is finally back. Welcome back CMS, I think we'll need 15 more from you this season.


LuaLua 7 - looked dangerous every time he had the ball
Chicksen 7 - solid
Ince 6 - should have done better with his chance! Didn't matter though, and he won headers very well

Sami 8 - playing Bruno in midfield was questioned by many, but he's proved them all wrong! His team selection when Toko, March and Stephens are fit will be interesting.

We beat a poor Bolton side 2-1 the performances were not out of this world mostly better than average.

Bolton were gifted some easy chances without having to do much to create them.

I enjoyed the game and liked the way we played very entertaining and very encourage but still plenty of room for improvement.

I agree, their goal was sloppy marking by both Dunk and Greer. They are my preferred pairing though.

It was a very entertaining game and at times most of the team played really well - but I also agree with the comments above that a she-ite Bolton team also had plenty of chances which they really shouldn't have done. I'm really encouraged and think this team has real potential with the three new signings on the pitch today. However, the last 15 minutes were very nervy and we did not play out the time well. Again, a very enjoyable game though!

I'm going to give one rating, a 9 to my six year old Oscar William who for the first time ever, watched the entire 90 minutes. Would have been a 10 but he needed a piss half way through the second half after a fanta overdose.
