RE upgrading kids tickets: Surely you just scan the ticket in the turnstile when you enter the ground, is anybody actively checking whether people are using the correct ticket to get in?

I would think they're pretty hot on checking for that in the family stand particularly. I don't know, as I'm WSU. But I'd be surprised if they weren't keeping a close eye on spotting adults getting in on kids tickets.

Christ, there's 3 (very friendly) stewards at my turnstile, they're not there picking their noses.

Not the real one
its 2700 under Capacity.

I'd put 1200-1500 Down to Posh, So your only talking 1000-1500 Home fans. The Club keep back about 1000 for sponsors guests etc, really it is about as full as you can get if the away support dont take their full allocation.

I don't get this family stand won't let an unaccompanied adult in stuff. I was told by the club that if there isn't a kid with you, the ticket holder would be required to be relocated to another stand. However, if the match was a sell-out then the ticket holder would be able to sit in the family stand after all. There were two people near me who didn't seem to be 'attached'to any children btw.

Not really.

You can't pass a kids ticket on to an adult in the family stand. You can't pay for an upgrade, they just don't let you in that area without a kid.

Which is, I think, f***ing stupid.
Correct. I didn't go today, passed my ticket to someone else, buy could do nothing with my nine year olds ticket so it went empty.

Ok, Posh did not sell out BUT East was full all the way unlike last week, that big patch in WSL that was empty last week was full. I really do not understand the sub 20,000 attendance.

I believe that does not include the away attendance though i may be wrong.

It's August and summer holidays. Fair chance that 10% are on holiday. 5% non attendance must have been Peterborough. Anyway, I loved the win, if not the best of performances.

1167 seats not taken in the South Stand means roughly 1500 seats not taken in the home stands , not bad considering people on holiday , ill , or attending another engagement (wedding , funeral , anniversary , birthday party etc etc). There will always be a few no shows from STHs who live 200 - 300 miles away who cant make it to every match. The sponsors must also be giving 100 tickets away and waiting for Amex cardholders to purchase tickets as an affinity scheme but I dont think this has taken off yet (just wait for Liverpool fans to work out they can book a ticket if they have a platinum Amex card )

This is the point - your mate who you passed the ticket to could surely have taken a kid of some sort?!

The directors seats are usually half empty at least which does not set a good example IMO and needs to be addressed

Looked LOADS of odd empty seats throughout the east stand. It's the jcls I tells ya.

the were definitely lots of odds and ends in terms of seating yesterday..from what I saw, mostly in the east stand, but naturally more in the south stand

I met up with a mate yesterday who is in the family stand, but was without his 4 year old son who didn't want to go. He tested the system by scanning his sons season ticket to get in, and made it through no problems. I then sat in the family stand in his sons empty seat and again, no problem with 2 adults no kids sitting together.

I sat in the WS middle tier practically half way line 3 rows behind Barry Fry and their pikey looking chairman and there were bundles of seats left, really annoyed me, guy sat near me said its all companies who are only interested in the big games, I guess Posh weren't big enough.
