Given that none of us have access to your personal finances, it would also be quite difficult.

Thanks for doing the poll. I felt it was in the interest to gauge the picture of where we may come out initially when this lockdown lifts.

I really do not believe your powers can not crack my account and workout/forecast my future expenditure and at what age I may depart this planet.

How much can I spend today sir???

:lolol:

I’m now addicted to gay porn.

It’s an expensive habit, so I have a lot less money.

anyone who pays for gay porn really doesn't know what they are doing on the interweb . (Or any porn for that matter)

It never ceases to amaze me that with the likes of twitter various porn sites and the rest that anyone pays for porn!

Presumably those who have a job will have put away lots of money or paid off debts, and those whose income has fallen to a trickle (or worse) will have racked up debts and be spending the next decade paying them off.

How exactly is posting a poll with about 100 responses going to help you gauge the picture when the lockdown lifts? Absolutely retarded.

So who to believe the BOE or a newspaper?

I doubt many firms who have lost contracts or employees who have lost their jobs would agree with The Chancellor's cautious optimism of a possible bounce back in the economy
There may well be certain sector's of the economy that can move forward quickly when the new normal comes into view but there will be a plethora of unemployed searching for newjobs which will simply not be there.

The only way you can get access to hardcore pornography is if you mail off for a satellite smart card decoder, then you're in business.

Not my advice Nick, but the advice of Alan Partridge.

The bounceback is an overall view though.......there are always winners and losers in any period but the optimism is well founded IMO.

My wife is 20% down and furloughed/homeschooling and I’m 15% plus overtime down. The only think keeping me above water is there is nothing to spend money on.

My ISA’s and SIPP have increased 14% Feb 2020 - Feb 2021 even though the FTSE has gone from 7500 to 6500 in the same period, a decrease of 14%.

This does raIse an interesting discussion as to what the post-Covid world will look like. Berlin, IMHO, has always been a true city of dreams. Premises are cheap, you don’t need much capital to start a business, money is easily borrowed from Crowdfunding and/or Sparkasse banks at stupidly low rates and the only real limit is your (realistic) imagination. Whilst bigger businesses are struggling, going bust and vacating premises I have seen many smaller to medium sized ,more nimble, restaurants and bars and cafes and 2 breweries seizing this moment and expanding. I’ve also seen a new music venue start up and numerous pop-ups testing the water.

Whilst I don’t like to see anyone go bust the times are a changing and for the better as far as I’m concerned.

It may well be the case the BOE are cautiously optimistic about a quick bounce back in the economy in the short term but this may well be tempered in the mid term by increased unemployment and employees hit harder with increase taxation which will stem growth of any burgeoning economy.

It’s a cycle...the bounceback will create the employment......will take a while though

Yes, but can’t just have an economy based on cafes, bars, restaurants and music venues. You need people with jobs and incomes to patronise these places, unless they all just go to each other’s cafes on their days off?

I not saying it anyone's fault but i think we will hit several mini 'boom & bust ' periods before the economy flatlines and a semblance of normality returns.
