Yesterday afternoon. Not suspicious apparently.

That's one hell of a lock in, it's been shut since September....

How many supermarkets/mini marts does a little town really need ?. That'll make 6.

Haywards Heath is hardly 'little'. Residentially it's pretty big. And it's only one big supermarket and a couple of locals. The Bentswood area quite a way from anything apart from that odd 7/11 thing in Northlands Wood

Sainsburys, Co-op, Tesco Express, Sainsburys local & M&S. Agree that Bentswood does need a local shop down there. Is there anything still open on the America Lane parade of shops ?.

Frankly, I'm surprised this didn't happen more often to people waiting to be served at The Sportsman during the Withdean years...

Crikey, I didn't even know it wasn't the Golden Eagle anymore, let alone closed down. I'm getting old.

Other end of the town but I have been there a couple of times. To me it will always be The Pilgrim.

OD poor fellow ,not waiting to be served, I know it as the Grim in my day was the only place open with live music in its cellar. Sort of place you did not eye ball at anyone.:guitar::facepalm::facepalm:a

My Missus lived in Bentswood Crescent when still at home with Mum & Dad.
I also worked at Franklynns for a while and popped in there for an occasional cheeky lunchtime beer.
All a long time ago now - 70s & 80s
