No, but I did go to the River Plate versus Huracan game last month (the weekend before they played away at Boca, in a game that I believe was abandoned due to rain)...match wasn't up to much but the singing was amazing, only stopped during half-time and continued throughout the thirty minute lock-in at the end of the game.

Went when they beat Argentinos Juniors 1-0 a few years ago.

Amazing atmosphere in the 'Chocolate box' and the half hour lock-in at the end was observed by the fans without any fuss !

£3 to get in was a result too !!

Yes. About 5 years ago now. Saw Boca play a local team and got in for about £2 (inflation ). It was like the 70's here with the police trying to hold people back going in the ground by wacking you with there truncheons. When we got inside the singing was incredible. Only slight panic was at half time when i saw what looked to be a delegation of people on the pitch and the word 'Malvinas' mentioned. It was only ex army from the falklands trying to get a whip round for some cash  Kept our heads down at that point. Then with 20 mins left of the game we saw about 100 blokes behind us basically tell a steward to open a gate so that they could run round to the away fans. The steward duelly did this and we joined them. For the next 30 mins rocks were being thrown in the away section and fights on the fences. It was crazy. And the weird thing was the police didnt want to get involved. All they did was ask them to calm down before running away again ! Then a police helicopter hovers over the centre circle and the game is called off. It ws one of the most amazing things ive ever seen at a football ground. Argentinian football was called off for 2 weeks after.

Id love to go again.

Yeah that´s pretty similar to what we saw. Absolutely mental. And they don´t even stop singing when the goals go in, it starts 30 mins before the game, stops for ten minutes at half time and finishes 30 minutes after the game finishes.

Standard was fairly poor though, about top of League 1 level.

As good as that day at Cádiz?

Different. Much louder and more intimidating, but seemed to be one stand that did most of the singing, unlike Cadiz where it is the whole ground.

Give me a couple of days, I´m about to catch a plane to Australia.

The football on holiday thread just reminded me to put these up. Well worth a visit if you are even in Argie. Not for the faint hearted.

was there in feb and was shocked how POOR the standard of football was. dullest 0-0 ever. this coming from an albion fan of 16 years! atmosphere was great of course and getting in was an experience in itself. the game was sold out, so us and 16 others payed some bloke who bribed us past security and into the stadium.
