Some players have stranger numbers. Two AC Milan players wear numbers in the 90's, Stephen El Shaarwary wears 92 to symbolise the year of his birth, and Cassano wears 99, for what reason however I don't know

Same with Gary Hooper at Celtic, he always wore number 8 at Scunthorpe, but as he couldn't have it at Celtic, he wears 88, all part of superstition for some players.
