Bobby`s boots ?

Not unusual for footballers to wear boots 1/2 a size or a full size smaller

Why? so the ball is that much closer to their toes?

I remember losing one boot when I was quite young.My dad nailed some studs into the sole and heel of my foot,painted it brown and coated it with dubbin.

Nobody noticed,but I learned my lesson.

I also have a pair of Bobby's boots, the first ever made for him, that I bought in the auction for Malcom Stuart's testimonial (whilst very drunk) and they are size 10 1/2.
