Bob's Agent: Hi Bob, got a proposition for you. Stay in the premiership, decent bucks etc etc or pop back down to Brighton for a wage cut whilst they go through a transition period. What d'ya fancy?

My point still remains. Derby handed it to him on a plate and Wigan crumbled - much like last season, Wigan and Derby did exactly what us and Watford did last season - crumble when it mattered.
Na a great finish out of nothing in a huge preasure situation, CMS would have put it near the roof of the stadium, a class act.

Bless Bobby. In the grand tour of London he has made since leaving us he has never gone to Croydon. Admirable.

On another issue "We are the champions" is an inappropriate song to play for a team that finished 4th.

Sorry, how does ONE goal suddenly mean that he isnt past it ?

he wasnt past it in the first place. been injured most the season and doesnt quite suit Redknapp taste. no one ever said he's a world beater either. but he is still a quality player who stretches defenses and plays in others even if he doesnt tick up many goals himself.

Why do a majority on here slag off Murray, yet adore Bobby Z?

Both went away for the money and fair play to them both, so what's the difference?

Zamora - 136 games, 83 goals. Strike Rate - 0.61
(46 goals in 82 games with Albion at League 1 or Championship level - Strike Rate 0.56)
(37 goals in 54 games with Albion at League 2 level - Strike Rate 0.69)
Seasons in the Premier League - 10.

Murray - 136 games, 56 goals. Strike Rate - 0.41
(all scored at League 1 level)
Seasons in the Premier League - 1.

If Murray makes his international debut and plays in a European final, I'll be happy to reconsider my opinion of him.

Until that happens, he'll always be a better-than-average, journeyman striker who performed well in his time with us.

And he'll never have Zamora's class.

He's out of contract. Championship football with us may be the best offer he gets.

Well done Bobby! Pleased that Derby didn't make it after their fans were taunting us in the coach park after the first leg.

Thunder Bolt

Silly old bat
Shamelessly nicked from Twitter

There was a young man named Zamora,
he fancied himself as a scorer.
With Keogh asleep,
he silenced the sheep
& buried it in the top corner.
