I love a good game of chess, but unfortunately I can not find anyone who can play.
I have tried teaching the kids, but because there is no screen or computers involved they are not interested, even when there is a financial bonus on offer.
Sad really, I've been thinking of trying to teach wifey, but she will view it as domestic bullying if I win all the time.

love the perudo - try playing with substitute number(s) i.e. "parrot" instead of 5 - shot penalty if you get it wrong etc

im up for a board game sesh anytime. there are a few pubs around that don't mind board games being played if only a few of us. otherwise king and queen you can hire rooms upstairs for £50.

Carcasonne is brilliant.

Absolutely this! Great game (my all-time favourite) which has plenty of dimensions and variations to it based on the fact there are several add-ons you can purchase.

Judging by his other favourite games listed, the OP will love this game.

Carcassonne is also available (and good value!) on tablet and smartphone..
