One of the best things about this election.
Often the case, though - people see how these political neanderthals behave once they hold political office, and they don't vote for them again. Like the far Left, they often end up fighting amongst themselves, or splitting into even smaller groupings which claim that they are the 'true believers'. In this respect, they're quite amusing, even while being utterly obnoxious.
One of the reasons why, repugnant though I find them, I wouldn't ban fascists; instead, give 'em enough rope.
