Amazon have recommended that I buy this, released on 19 Sep, on the back of having purchased The Wire.

Never heard of it, anyone on NSC know anything about it??

Any good?

Was a series on sky atlantic, saw most of the episodes. If you are into police dramas then buy it, if not then maybe give it a miss.

I watched the entire series on Sky Atlantic, superb series with only one or two weak episodes, Selleck is great as was one of the Wahlberg brothers (always get them mixed up). Not at all like the wire but never the less i would make the purchase.

I enjoyed it on Sky Atlantic, not sure I'd spend my own money on it though.

I'm looking forward to season 2

It's good. It's not really much like The Wire though

IMHO it was a bit shit. Danny Wahlberg being the maverick, hero cop week in, week out. I gave up after 4 episodes, which is a shame because I like NY as a setting and I like police dramas. :-(

Don't think about anything else until you have watched The Wire, it's just the greatest.

That's the problem..seen The Wire, seen the Sopranos everything else seems a bit naff now!

Watched all of Blue Bloods series 1 on Sky Atlantic. I kind of agree with matt, its pretty simple and obvious most of the time but still very watchable.

Thought it was quite good. Each character developing as the series progressed. IMO Tom Selleck gave the weakest performance....... best as Magnum PI.

It's alright if not great. Tom Selleck's moustache is always worth a viewing though.

Same here plus all the adverts just ruined it, I may rent it.
The Killing finale last night was painful, adverts every 10 mins

I gave up after 4 episodes... I couldn't take the 'it all ended happily ever after' with the family round the dinner table at the end of each episode. If you've not seen it Broadwalk Empire was very good worth watching.
