When I were a lad it was an autograph which cost nothing. Kids today ………………

I used to collect football and cricket autographs as a kid.

Only 2 I can immediately think of ever said no - Chris Old and Richie Benaud.

Some went out of their way to sign, and I’d (surprisingly) give Geoffrey Boycott an honourable mention here.

My friend's son had knocked up one that said 'Ronaldo! Please don't smash my phone.'

Now, I would give my shirt to that person. At least it’s original, and shows comic affect!

Remember taking my son to Wembley in 94 and Peter Beardsley spend over an hour signing autographs after the game. He didn’t leave until everyone was sorted. Top pro and not a bad player.

Plenty of players outside the North signing autographs for young fans after the game on Saturday.
