Anyone read a book called Foul! The Secret World Of FIFA, by Andrew Jennings?

Thoroughly interesting read, digging into allegations of bribes, vote rigging and ticket scandals within and around FIFA.

Blatter, suffice it to say, does not come out of it well, and neither does Jack Warner, the Trinidad & Tobago representative, in fact the pair of them stink of corruption.

Some of the stuff that goes on is- well I won't say unbelieveable as nobody would be surprised at anything that comes out about FIFA- but is pretty appalling, not to mention highly unethical.

The author is banned from all FIFA gatherings, unsurprisingly :lolol:

Have a look some time, it's a very entertaining, not to mention informative, read.

Sometimes wonder what Blatter and Platini have against the Premiership

In Blatter's case: because he knows which countries vote for him when the FIFA elections come up, and because he has a very long memory in terms of who's voted for him (or his policies) in the past.

As I said, read the book, it's a damning indictment of his regime.

In Platini's case I'm not so sure: because he's French, non?
