And "Tabby", "BO" Sainsbury, "Poxy" Baxter, "Jack" Liddell, "Willy" Pope, "Hitler", Ross;
Peter (BBC) Brackley from 1970 who's mum was the school secretary, "Not Andy Naylor" and me from 1972, Vince O'Rourke who ran the Stadium.
And that **** Austin Williamson from Manchester Grammar.
Nisi Spiritu Dei Nihil - school caps at the Stockport game anyone?
Anyone recall Messrs Whone-Brown (chemistry), Allen (Physics - plus, er, Careers(!)), Thomas (Maths), Hitchman (Geography), Lawrence (English and gratuitous atheism), Denby (French), Griffiths (German)... never forgetting Ross (Latin). How they can get away with not doing languages in EC Britain in the 21st century is beyond me... But I'm sure that "Blatchington Mill" offers a full syllabus in TEXTing these days...Ahhh happy days as that was my era as welll

Hove Park was fun we had your P.E teacher Ricketts wife she was a PE Teacher as well ..........though she was shagging a Physics teacher who's name escapes me.
My Dad took me out to an Hotel in the wilds of Mid Sussex to meet one of his old mate's one Sunday and Mrs Ricketts and lets call him not 'inclement' walked through the Lobby hand in hand I must have looked shocked but believe me not as shocked as them.
I got a Monday lunch time lecture on CONSEQUENCES !!! Circa 1984!!
I scored a hat trick for York against Kent
Blatch Mill all the way!!! 1994-1999. Who remembers miss wilson? the really old R.E teacher??
Blimey this thread has dragged a lot of names up from the bottom of my memory.
Harry Barker, woodwork teacher extraordinaire. I remember spending a whole term on one drawing of a mortice and tenon joint. I still hadn't finished it when the next term started but I then worked out that if I mucked about Harry would make me stand at the back of the class - from where I could watch the football, as this was Wednesday afternoons. Come on Kent!
And miscreants were obliged to join 'The Harriers', which entailed jogging endless miles after school around The Field (in the days when all schools had playing fields; now they just have fat kids).IIRC your first project was a ruler. Harry Barker snapped mine in half in front of everyone as it was so bad! Never got on with woodwork after that.
