Blair - He Don't Care Anymore - He's OUTTA There!

FFS don't you people have memories..................
This labour government had to adopt all the Tory policies just to get elected in the first place...................they promised (as always) how they were going to improve our education and health systems, how they were not going to increase tax, and how they were going to pump loads of money into just about everything.
They took over when our economy was on the up and have benefited from it (or at least Brown has)
As far as Europe is concerned Blair is on a mission, and he seems intent on carrying it out, with or without the agreement of the British public...................In his eyes ......he knows best.

If he goes soon, or at the next election .....good riddance !!
:clap2: :clap2: Well said. Anyway for all you left-wingers out there, Blair isn't a Leftie. He'll be whatever he has to be on that day to secure votes.

In all fairness to Blair, Labour never were a Leftie party, more left of centre.
The manifesto's of the early 80s were socialist because the party hierarchy new they were going to lose, and by losing on the policy of the far left members, it effectively got rid of Benn and his red mates once and for all.
Labour never were socialist and never will be again, though perversly the most socialist thing Labour have ever done is abandon their left wing policies. In order to get elected and help SOME people, they abandoned their left wing ideals because these were not electable.

I respect you point of view but don't agree with a word of it.

Fair do's mate, I respect your viewpoint also. Guess tho that we're both in agreement that when Blair/Brown won that famous election victory and slung the Tories out on their ear it felt like a liberating army had come to town. You could feel the optimism in the air. Felt like a blast of fresh air. Shame it's all ended up like this. Guess none of saw THAT one coming, eh? And speaking of Kinnock clutching defeat from the jaws of victory, I actually got interviewed by local radio outside Preston Park station on that grim morning on me way to work. Muttered words along the lines of 'The greedy swine can all cancel their first class one way tickets to South Africa and put their money back in the bank for another four years. Heaven help us all'. Don't think it ever got broadcast tho...

I felt like some sort of army had come to town yes. Felt like a wave of doom was spreading over the country. It got even worse on the second election victory.
