Yeah - but we've signed Doug Loft - all our prayers have been answered. What are we worried about ?

I bet Sheffield United are gutted that we got in there first.

Is that the Beckett who used to be at Cheatingfield? If so, I think he's at Oldham (although it could be a loan I guess).

Shipperly won't be getting first team football at Shefield United with the huge amount of strikers they have got and even less of a chance if they get into the premiership. Loan with a view to permanent move.

Forte is a winger, a bad one, and also on loan at Rotherham. Beckett is on loan at Oldham and won't play for Sheffield united again.

I know it has been mentioned before on other threads but disregarding his days at Cheaterfield what about Luke Beckett could he do the job? Would relocation price him out like Chris Iwellumo?

Not looking at price, but technically I think he is worth a shout. Not a bad player at all.

He is at the bottom end of the goalscorers market so if we can't afford him we might as well forget any signings that is transfer wise I am not so sure about relocation expenses etc.

Beckett only cost the Blades £50,000, so unlikely to recoup that money given that he only played once for them.

Oldham Supporters Trust have paid £20,000 towards his wages this season ( a bit like our 40 notes fund).

United have quite a strict wage sturcture and have a flat £2,000 a week for first team players, but good bonuses on top.

I too would like Shipperley, even though he has been marked out of the game twice by Butters this season :)

:lolol: Absolutely right God forbid you would want a proven scorer at Championship level who might get you out of relegation trouble because he used to play for Palace!

I would like to have him here a lot of Palace players overcome that affliction and go on to better teams and according to another poster on here he is a Brighton fan. His dad definitely wasn't:lolol: :lolol: :lolol: :lolol:
