Can't believe some Albion fans think they know more about what's going on at Blackburn than Blackburn fans do. If they want the Venkys and their crony Kean out, then good luck to them.

I thought the way the Blackburn fans were treating Steve Kean was very strange.....until I read a little bit about it.

The person who brokered the Venky's buy-out was someone called Jereome Anderson (a very dodgy football agent). Anderson was then appointed as an Advisor by the new owners. At that time Blackburn were mid-table with Sam Allardyce in charge and looking very comfortable. Allardyce was swiftly removed and Steve Kean (no managerial experience) was suddenly appointed as the manager. Guess what - Kean was on Jereome Anderson's books as a client, as was John Jensen who was appointed as deputy manager! Kean's first signing was.......Jereome Anderson's son (a player of such calibre that he'd managed 120 seconds of time on the pitch as a professional! Clearly the sort of player you'd rush out and buy. Alex Ferguson's view on Anderson's involvement at Blackburn is, "You’ve got that issue at Blackburn of an agent involved and deciding the future of the club, Jerome Anderson, he couldn’t pick his nose."

That's just the beginning. The owners don't turn up to games. Money is just disappearing. Chris Samba was sold just before the relegation fight got serious. Kean is an integral part of this dodgy set-up. No wonder they hate him.

It's a shame the press haven't really got hold of the story properly. They've just focused on how great Steve Kean is at giving dignified interviews and how badly the fans treat him!

We should be fully aware that the press don't often get to the heart of many football-related stories. Remember how the abandoned game at the Goldstone against York was presented by many sources as simply 'mindless violence' by Brighton supporters? Few in the media took the trouble to uncover the real story.

I think Blackburn's supporters deserve a warm welcome at the Amex next season.

The time for talking is over. Now call it extreme if you like, but I propose we hit 'em hard and we hit 'em fast, with a major, and I mean major, leaflet campaign.

Have been trying to think of some sort of welcome for the Blackburn scum fans when they visit us. The way they have treated their manager is nothing short of a disgrace. They don't deserve a football team let alone one in the Premier.

Read more about their situation and you'll feel like a total idiot after doing this thread!

Seems a little twisting of the facts. Jerome Anderson, as head of SEM, is a very influential man in football full stop, he's not some nobody. SEM represents over 150 professional footballers, he has advised Arsenal and Manchester City among other clubs. Venky's asked him to advise them before they took over the club. Steve Kean did not come from nowhere, he had worked as assistant to Chris Coleman at Fulham, and Allardyce had appointed him, saying that Kean "stood out above the rest through his personality, experience and knowledge of football at the highest level". After they sacked Allardyce in a dispute over transfer policy appointing his assistant as caretaker is a pretty normal step. Not surprising that Ferguson doesn't like Anderson, he was one of the agents representing Jon Obi Mikel when he snubbed Man U for Chelsea.

I don't blame the fans for wanting them out, I wouldn't want an agent involved in the running of our club, or owners making such bad decisions on the football side of things, but I am yet to see any evidence of anything other than a badly managed club getting relegated as a result. Where is the evidence of 'money disappearing', or other asset-stripping shenanigans like that to take this story to the next level?

idiotic thread.

But, in answer to the OP, how about we all bring tennis balls and chuck them on the pitch as the teams run out?

Not that there'll be many Blackburn fans travelling down anyway.

Exactly, small to middling Lancashire club who've had their day in the sun. The average gate at Ewood Park will come in around the 14,752 mark this coming season, if not lower than that.

Not me my old fruit, The way they treated Kean was an absolute disgrace. He and his family went through hell when all he was doing was trying his utmost to keep the club from relegation. I don't think Albion fans would would be that nasty to any manager.
