Ever fallen into a blackberry bush, trying to pick that big, juicy but elusive berry at the back? They are evil plants, worse than tryffids. I speak from experience.

By the time you've cooked the blackerries and brandy, the alcohol would have evaporated, leaving only the flavour of brandy.
However, if they overhang a public right of way then you are not trespassing picking them. .
But who is the rightful owner of said fruit if they grow from within somebody's property. Which means that you may not be tresspassing but in fact stealing.

So did I. I was at my dads in the New Forest, and the kids were arguing with each other in the play area we were in, so I marched them out and into the nearby woods.Made a crumble the other day with some. Only got couple of handfuls though as think someone beat us too our usual spot round here this year
There's a grape vine near me and i,ve managed to pick enough to make 2 jars of chutney,
which tastes delicious in home made currys.
