I get your point but I think there was more to it than that. It's more about where we are going as a society rather than just the tedium of x factor. The guy who played Bing should get an award. If for nothing else but for his confrontation with the judges at the end. I was blown away by that

Agree with all of that, they have both been pretty deep reading between the lines, And that fellows perfomance at the end was superb!!

It did indeed start a bit slowly, but then given that last week's felt rushed that was a good thing - and it was definitely going somewhere!

Was bloody brilliant television - shame they've only commissioned him to write 3 of them!

Kinect advert was definitely planned - but what about Brooker's favourite, the John Lewis one?!

Not a patch on Chris Morris & Armando Iannucci -Taking the piss out of such an easy target it wasn't big and it wasn't clever...what's next saying that out kids our out of control cough* Lord of the files*....thank you Charlie for stating the bloody obvious! yes were all brain dead morons that only pleasure in life is TV.

Didn't advertising pay for Chris Morris' stuff?

Not quite sure how you feel you're in a position to comment when you've already told us you turned off half way through.

I thought it was easily one of the greatest pieces of standalone TV I've ever witnessed.

Some of the best t.v i've seen at the moment and the perfect antidote to all that reality talent / gameshow bollocks. You can just see how this scary vision of the future could happen with society's insatiable craving for shit t.v and consumerism.
And Bings desperate impassioned rant at the end was mesmerising, made the hairs on the back of my neck stand up. Great stuff Charlie Brooker

I can't find anything about this :( Can anyone tell me what channel it was on so i can try to download it here please?

After hearing so many people talk about this show I had to go and watch it earlier.
Probably the joint best TV show I have ever seen (along with Luther), and it's odd that after watching the second episode I had to remind myself that they were infact the same show...
I love to hate X Factor so I loved to love that second one, I can't wait to see what they satirise (that word doesn't seem to do it justice - criticise?) next week.

Brilliant stuff.

Very much this. I saw his comments about the show a few days ago and didn't bother to post. He seems to have a dislike for charlie Brooker as he slated last weeks show

It's not that I don't like him but he just seem to rant about the obvious (Grumpy old man syndrome)! I like him very much on the 10 o'clock show - where him ranting about the news is good :) I guess he has his niche and he is doing everything along those lines for me it's a bit tired.

Watched it last night and thought it was fantastic TV.

Anyone know what next week's episode is about?

Anyone can rant, just have a look through half the posts on this board. It is ranting WELL that is a skill.

Besides I think there was far more to this show than just the tirade at the end. It was well thought out and executed from start to finish

For me he was far and away the best thing in it (and there was a lot of other stuff that I liked). IMDB tells me that he (Daniel Kaluuya) has been doing telly for a while but I first noticed him earlier this year when he stole every scene he was in in The Fades on BBC3. I can't wait to see what he does next.

brighton, actually
Interesting that Konnie used her birth name (Kanaq?) on the credits.. (was that in case it was sh@te?)

A slow burner this one, and thankfully no pigs..:moo:

I guess the gym bike riders represented people in dead end jobs, and tv promises a better life etc..

Quick overview- It doesnt matter if you're good or bad, so long as you get your baps out, or cause controversy..

I thought about switching off at half way but persevered because of some of the rave reviews I read on here. Predictable stuff really.

You can opt out in reality.
