Wasn’t dreadful today. Nowhere near his normal standard but still, seems he’s now become the “oh dear we lost its x,y or z’s fault”[/QUOTE

Really? What game were you watching. Biss is not on it at the moment and it’s clearly reflected in his recent performances.

Protecting himself for a summer move.

Modern day players hold all the aces.

His next club will see that 90 minute whirlwind of a dynamic cm’er.

If he continues to play as he is playing at the moment, that summer move will be in jeopardy. Clubs he would like to join (ie in the Champions League) will look at his attitude and wonder whether they want to pay what we will ask, and there are the other issues, of course. He may find that the Villa offer is the only one on the table and TB may calculate that we might as well hang onto him for the last year of his contract if we're not getting a decent offer.

Quite, he has been playing within himself for a fair few games now. Does he know something that we don't? has a deal already been reached for him to move on up at the end of the season?

If not, one thing is for sure, Biss needs to be very careful, the big boys will soon lose interest if he continues to play as if he doesn't really care.

This. That big move in the summer is in no way a given.

I'd be very surprised if that offer was still on the table after that disinterested display yesterday.

Player has a couple of games off form (as part of a team that’s universally struggling for form) - NSC: BURN HIM!

Jokes aside, something’s clearly not quite working for Biss at the moment - as others have said, many potential reasons for that - court case, big money interest, maybe even the impact of re-entering the Mali fold and AFCON. It doesn’t merit the ‘disgrace to the shirt’ response - he’s just not quite on it. He’s a 25yo bloke with a fair amount going on in his life (and possibly more we don’t know about). Maybe he needs a rest but as many people as are crying out to castigate him now would probably emerge to ask why we’re not starting our best and £50m midfielder if Alzate, Caicedo etc stepped in and produced a ‘sub-par’ performance.

Also, Gerrard set up Villa to squash him - thought they did a number on us in terms of pressing and removing the link between defence and midfield in general

Shane Duffy got his move to us even after deliberately scoring own goals and getting himself a red card.

Oh, and for accuracy, Bissouma hasn't got a court case. He hasn't been charged, just under investigation.

Burn as in Dan Burn, the bloke people said were going to bring the team down to League One, or Burn as in Dan Burn, the bloke people say we can't live without..?

Joke aside I agree with you completely.

Agree.

Unless he sulks next season. Or is half hearted.

It’s invariably bad to have such players in a camp - Auba, Ozil.

I said it last week.

His mind is elsewhere, and he is literally just ticking over performance wise.

Easy to conclude this. Up to him to prove us wrong. I too thought he was poor yesterday, and believe SA should be given a chance instead. No one is undroppable, especially someone who won’t be here next season.

Whole team's going through a major slump in form. Unfair IMHO to put the blame on any one player

#together?

Agree. Though we don’t need 11 threads, thought they were all poor yesterday. Tough call to name man of the match.

Always thought for £50m you’d want a midfielder who can score a few more goals than Bis does. Or even ability to test a keeper. Shows how much I know or how inflated prices are if you don’t get that included for such money.
