Erm. Maybe try reading my post again properly.

No. It didn't make sense the first time so I'm not going to bother trying again.

95% of football songs are unoriginal get over it. I'd rather we sang something (anything) rather than waiting for something unique to take off. Unless you have a really big organised signing section like Celtic for example the chances of getting original songs off the ground are slim.

The Bissouma chant is great. I've not heard anyone else do it so no reason to believe that is has been deliberately ripped off from anyone. First heard it at the Carabao Cup game and absolutely loved it. The Bernardo song is also ace.

Think you're right - can't find a PL example. Newport seen to have been using it for a while though.

Might be wrong but it started at the cup game against Saints the other week. There was also a really good song for Bernardo which is waiting for him to make a start

I liked the song at the Nantes friendly, something like:

"There was something in the air that night, the stars so bright
Bernarndo
He came to Sussex By The Sea, from Germany
Bernardo."

I see a Ezequiel Schelotto- I'm a fan
Scaramouch, scaramouch when will we play Bernardo?
Thunderbolt and lightning very very frightening me
Kerry Mayo, Kerry Mayo
Kerry Mayo, Kerry Mayo,
Kerry Mayo Pascal Gross - magnificooooo

But we're just a poor club from sussex by the sea
We're just a poor club, but we're like a family
Football is our life, it saves us from monstrosity
Easy come easy go. Do not let Dunk go
Bissouma! No we will not let you go - let him go
Bissouma! We will not let you go - let him go
Bissouma! We will not let you go let me go
Will not let you go let me go (never)
Never let you go let me go
Never let me go ooo
No, no, no, no, no, no, no
Oh Alireza, Alireza, Alireza score a goal
The football club has a ticket put aside for me
For me

Does sound good. First time I remember hearing it at a game was England v Scotland at halftime Euro 96. Scottish fans having a half time party.

Absolutely no worse than 90% of songs that we sing. But will never work due to the reasons in my earlier post. Which is why the NSK need to step up.

Not bad, can you get the words on the BIG SCREEN ? That's too much to learn for most of us.

Couple of suggestions - change 'easy' for 'Izzy' or 'Izuierdo' for 'Kerry Mayo' :):)

Its to the tune of "Fernando" by Abba

"There is something in the air tonight, he's blue and white, Bernardo.
He came to Sussex by the Sea, for you and me, Bernardo."

Good song. If he becomes a remotely popular player it should catch on. Presumably just repeat the two lines at increasing speed.

It was somewhat bizarre when Southampton played it at half-time on Monday.

I said the same at the time, they obviously enjoyed hearing us sing it ! and I’m guessing they’ve probably not heard it sung by other away fans before

Why don’t the NSK ever come up with anything original? It’s not that hard. It would be so good to have the odd original player song, rather than just nicking them from somewhere else all the time.

No doubt their response would be “Well you come up with something then”, but people have, many a time, and have posted it on here only for it to be ridiculed by the song police (which would have happens for just about any Brighton song ever sung, has NAC always been about).

Coming up with something original isn’t difficult, but getting it to take off is, unless you can get a large group of people singing a lot at home games. They have the numbers required, so it’s about time they stepped up.

Well it’s not original but how about a version of the Allez, Allez song? It creates atmosphere and although generally used for history of sucesses, we’ve got more history than most! Something like...

Our club fought for survival,
We ain’t ever gonna stop.
From the depths of desperation,
To playing at the top.
Dick Knight and Fans United,
The saviours of our team.
Now we are Brighton & Hove Albion,
Playing/Staying in the Premier League.

Allez, Allez, Allez
Allez, Allez, Allez.
