I'm happy to celebrate the great goals he has scored, and look forward to the improvement he will make, rather than focus on the ones he's missed this season. A bit like Carpenter, Sparrow, Lua Lua and so on. They had an incredible shot on them, but equally could shank it wide.

Given the excellent work he does, how many goals is a reasonable target for Bissouma for a season? Soucek has 9 (a lot from set-pieces) and Maddison has 8 (a completely different type of player). Ward-Prowse with his free-kicks 'only' has 7, and Grealish has 6. So what is reasonable given that list? 3 or 4?

And we have a goalscoring centre-back, so we're doing pretty well in that department.

he's not a goal scorer , he comes out of situations with the ball when he has no right to , in that respect he is like a bigger , younger Kante .....3 or 4 goals a season would be a bonus but for me he is one of the best d/h midfielders in the league currently and for that alone he's worth at least 45/50 million.

And against Burnley and Everton. All luck. Certainly not. However he could improve massively with decision making and the attempts he does take.

And a free kick against Birmingham

Need to get him doing drills in training. Get the coaches to teach some composure into him.

If Brighton could send my consultancy fee in the post, that would be great.

As a fanbase, we've literally gone from "we don't shoot enough" to "we shoot too often".

Keep going Biss. We've all seen that free-kick you've scored for Lille.

Him shooting from distance adds an element of attacking variety to our side and if he hits the target would score a screamer, but the option means defensively the opposition have to try and stop those chances. Happy for him to continue

Bissouma? Good player, "First name on the teamsheet"

Hang on, wasn't that supposed to be Dale Stephens? Whatever happened to him?

Ah yes, got it! Since joining Burnley on 24 Sep 2020... Dale Stephens' PL Appearances by gameweek 32....

3 starts, (plus 4 sub). Games missed through injury.... 4

Bobby Charlton "I scored a lot from long range and that was down to Sir Matt’s assistant Jimmy Murphy, who would tell me: “Don’t look at the goal – just hit the thing, and keep it low, and if you don’t know where it's going, neither will the goalkeeper.” Jimmy also said “Don’t worry if you miss. People will forgive you if you miss, but they won’t if you have a chance to shoot and you don’t.” Even today I say to a lot of our lads: “Don’t think about it; just hit the bloody thing.”

Different game today with stats and stuff, isn't it

I doubt Jimmy Murphy said the same thing to Nobby Stiles...

Until the club stop supplying Bissouma, Lallana and Maupay with spoon-fronted 50p-shaped boots, we are unlikely to see any significant improvement.

50p boots would be an improvement, need to cut ties with the Toblerone endorsements more like...

He's an enormous player for us and is getting better and better, but his shooting is absolutely laughable. Always has been. He uses the 1 or 2 two mega goals he scores as a justification to have wild slashes at the ball for the whole season and I'll be honest, I rarely get excited when he gets ready for his 3rd or 4th blast/slice of the match.

That said, it's not just a Bissouma thing. None of our players can shoot reliably from range except occasionally Trossard.

I think Welbeck can strike a ball. Still can’t believe that didn’t fall our way on Tuesday.

Oh.

Not me, am on record here as having never rated Dale since beyond the Championship.
