Bissouma

He probably wanted to go In jan and club refused to sell him so I would also be pissed off if I was him.

Build midfield around macillister.

The dull part of the south coast
I said in January, I had a sneaking suspicion the club wanted rid of him. From what I have heard from a very credible source there’s a few more things hiding in Bissouma closet some which pre-dates the nightclub incident.

I hope he finds form and returns to his best. I’ve absolutely loved watched seeing him play for this club and wish him all the best if he does leave us this summer.

It may be the case. If so I would like to think Potter would use his psychology expertise and motivate him to improve his performances for the rest of the season - if only to put him in the shop window for prospective buyers.

Aside to that, has Bissouma been a disruptive influence in the dressing room? There seems to have been a visible lack of “team togetherness” on the pitch in recent weeks which makes me believe the “no dickheads” policy isn’t happening.

Hmmm, not sure if Bissouma would be that influence, pretty sure Dunk or Duffy would stamp any dissent out, well I’d like to think they would.
However I think your right, something seems a miss, something is not right is it.

Hopefully it’s just a lack of confidence and not something more worrying.

Premier league France on Facebook reporting that Biss has now informed the club he wants to leave at the end of the season.
Funny that I thought he had already left with his recent poor performances

No idea as to the credibility of 'Premier league France' but I think everyone, Brighton fans or not, are expecting him to leave in the summer. I just hope two things happen:

1) he doesn't become an arse over the final couple of months of the season.

2)He doesn't end up going to a bang average team like Villa. I hope he gets a big move.

The whole Bissouma situation is very complex, isn't it? So many explanations for his perceived loss of form. But do any of them really stack up?

If he's disappointed that he didn't get a move in January, then it's the fault of the clubs that didn't bid. I can't believe he would be sulking that Albion turned down a bid from Villa when he's supposed to want to play in Europe and has been said many times not to want to move north of London. Villa doesn't exactly tick either of those boxes.

If he's hiding an injury because he's afraid of operations, he won't be able to stop it coming out in any properly-conducted pre-transfer medical, so he needs to get it sorted.

If there are other skeletons in his personal closet beyond the incident that led to his arrest, then he should be rejoicing that none of them have come out yet.

If he's decided that he doesn't want to be here and has effectively downed tools, then I'd imagine the clubs he's decided he'd rather be playing for will have noticed and are very unlikely to be impressed.

It could be a combination of all these or none, or he could just be bang out of form along with rather too many of his teammates. These things happen.

The story - and the one picked up by this FB page - is widely reported now and is based on a 90 minutes piece . They’re Not necessarily known for their Albion scoops but it wouldn’t be a massive surprise I guess.

No quotes, no sources, nothing at all to back this up. The only people who could possibly confirm it would never do so, as the writer knows very well. The fact that it fits in with what we all assume is all that makes it believable. Clickbait of the worst sort..

Only just seen that several articles on his departure in the summer, I think we are resigned to loosing him, we can't have a mopping player in the ranks, it is not good for him or the team unity. I hope and would expect him to still be fully committed to the squad at the moment though, I hope so, I wanna see him boss the game tomorrow please.

I would prefer he did not go to Newcastle though...

Newcastle will be linked with almost everyone this summer. I wouldn't pay too much attention for now.

I took this photo on my phone at Vicarage Road, just after our second goal. For me, it tells you all you need to know about Bissouma's commitment to the club right now, IMG_3006.jpeg

Oh wow, team harmony and togetherness is a vital cog in the machine, and at some point no matter how good Bissouma is, he may be dropped if it affects us on the pitch.

I really hope, he picks up and kicks on a gear, it would be wonderful to see the last few games in stripes with that full on commitment and talent he has in his locker, forever going down as a legend at a club that helped him progress as a special talent he is, and not a sulky petulant player.

Come Biss, show us what we are going to miss.

I wanted him to go to a big club and realise his potential.

Now I don’t give a toss where he goes, just want as much money as we can for him and we move on.

Great player for us, until he couldn’t be bothered anymore ….. Albion legend ? Not even close.

Doesnt look great does it, and we're right to be annoyed if this behaviour is because of his annoyance at not getting a big move. But also for balance it was during a time when he was quite obviously shying away from being in any sort of spotlight. No more dancing on the pitch and lapping up celebrations with the fans, and deleted every instagram post from his account all in an attempt to keep a very low profile.

On the surface the picture displays a lack of commitment from Bissouma. However if one considers the personal difficulties he's going through at the moment, perhaps there is a degree of overreaction?

His performances haven't exactly been stellar recently but he's not the only one. He is perhaps the player with the most excuse to have his mind elsewhere however.
